RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Padlet is a presentation website that allows the user to create presentations with various methods to arrange the content such as
having a brick like wall of material, a map that allows one to drop pins and notes on specific locations, and more templates. The
example in the above screenshot was a canvas model, which allows the user to make their thoughts, then add a connector to
other talking points if those thoughts are related to each other. It is a paid service, but it does have a free mode with some limited
features if the instructor doesn’t want to pay.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

I think this could be good for students it gives them multiple ways to organize their thoughts on a topic in a manner that may be
better than just using a PowerPoint slide deck. Students using Padlet will be able to customize their own unique message on the
topic being presented, and provides various mediums in the website such as videos, written words, or pictures for students who
are watching the Padlet presentation will have multiple ways to absorb that information.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

This does align with the ITSE-S standard I selected

I think by giving students a variety of ways to express their thoughts could lead to more students being engaged as they have
more choice in how they present their information. The more the students are engaged the better they will be able to master the
concept being taught.

This is definitely a website that could be used by students if they need to present something and want to use an alternative to
PowerPoint.
