Modern gadgets can be defined as small pieces of equipment that use new technology.

Some of these modern gadgets are tabs, smartphones, computers and laptops. In this
modernised world, modern gadgets can be seen to be used by peoples from different variety
of ages. In my opinion, I do not agree that only children over the age of seven should be
allowed to use modern gadgets. I believe that the usage of modern gadgets by children below
the age of seven does better than harm. A lot of benefits can be achieved if children are
allowed to use modern gadgets since they were little.
Firstly, usage of modern gadgets by children below the age of seven can teach them a
lot of new things. For example, children can learn numberings and alphabets from the
Internet. Instead of learning those knowledges from the kindergarten, children can be exposed
to those things earlier. Learning things earlier does bring any harm to an individual and same
goes to children learning new knowledges earlier. Not only that, a lot of additional skills can
be learned by children below the age of seven if they are allowed to use modern gadgets.
Besides, usage of modern gadgets by children below the age of seven also prepare
children to overcome the problem of not knowing the correct way of handling gadgets when
they are older. If children are exposed to modern gadgets since they are still small, then they
can handle gadgets handled to them more easily. Even if they are in contact of a new gadget,
they will still be able to operate it based on their experiences from the past. If children know
the way of using gadgets, then they will be able to use those products to seek for help when
they are in danger. For example, children can call their parents or the police using the mobile
phone when they are facing problems. Since children will be exposed to modern gadgets
sooner or later, then why we do not let those children possess modern gadgets earlier so that
they can adapt to it sooner.
Then, usage of modern gadgets by children below the age of seven also can provide
some entertainment to the children. Parents can let their child watch cartoons online after
school to let them relax for a while. If parents are scared that their children will see
something inappropriate while browsing, then they can set parental guidance in the settings.
The network will automatically censor or blur out the contents that are inappropriate or
violent. Next, parents can also let their children play games as a sort of reward after their
children had completed certain tasks. Of course, parents should set the time limit as
additional gaming will cause addiction. Parents should teach their children the concept of
management of time since they are little so that their children will learn to arrange their time
for better uses.
Next, usage of modern gadgets by children below the age of seven also let children to
have more friends in the kindergarten. This is because the children that are allowed to use
modern gadgets will have more topics of discussion as they can share their experiences using
the gadgets, teach their friends to use certain functions of a gadget, listen to their friends talk
about their experiences and many more. It will cause the children to have stronger bonds with
their friends indirectly.
In conclusion, I do not agree that only children over the age of seven should be
allowed to use modern gadgets gadgets. Instead, I believe that exposing a child to modern
gadgets will have more benefits since they are little. Since they will come in contact with
those products when they are older, then we should let them to learn use it earlier. Of course,
everything must be done in moderation. We should teach the children below the age of seven
to not overuse the Internet and modern gadgets as overusing gadget things will bring
disadvantages. If modern gadgets and Internet are used correctly, then a lot of good things
can be achieved.
