[1] Morocco is a country with a multi-ethnic society, rich culture and civilization. Historically, morocco has hosted many people
who came from different parts of the world : The Phoenicians and the Arabs from the East , the Sub-Saharian Africans from the South,
and the Romans and Spanish-Andalusians from the North. It has also hosted many different forms of beliefs, namely Judaism,
Christianity, and Islam. The majority of Morocco’s inhabitants are Amazigh and Arab by identity. At least, a third of the population speak
variations of the Amazigh language. During the Islamic expansion, many Arabs came to Morocco and settled in the flat regions, such as
Tadla and Doukala. There are groups called Charkawa and Arabawa who came all the way from the Arabian peninsula.
[2] Moroccan cuisine, which is a mix of Arab-Amazigh and Mediteranean inlfluences , is well-known for its generous use of spices.
Typically, cumin is the type of spices which you’d find in every Moroccan kitchen. It’s one of the main spices that Moroccans use to flavor
most of their food all over the regions. Drinking mint tea is an important ritual that is performed with family and friends. Popular local
dishes include: tajine, couscous, pastilla, rfissa… . Friday is the special day when Moroccan families lunch on fresh couscous with
chickpeas and vegetables, usually on such warm family gatherings.
[3 ] Also, the influences of tradition and history reflect on the clothes that Moroccans wear. The "djellaba" is a full-sleeved robe
that is commonly worn by Moroccan women. The "gandora", which is another popular robe worn by men, is a short-sleeved male version
of the women’s djellaba. Moroccan people are a heterogenous group . Generally, Moroccans are friendly, easy-going, nice people, who
are yet mostly known for their good sense of humor and hospitality
