SECURITY SURVEY AND INSPECTION REPORT

IV. ENTRANCE BRIEFING

Surveying team from BSPS Class of 2022 Section 4 under the direct supervision
of Prof. Joselito P. Fernandez of the Academics Affairs Office (AAO) proceeded at
LAKAN 3 Male Dormitory to conduct Security Survey. Before the conduct of survey, Prof.
Fernandez discussed to the Inspecting team the purpose and primary objectives of the
security survey, such as to determine the effectiveness and capabilities of the
Dormitories to defend its installations and enable the command to have information of the
present set-up purposely to guide the Command Group in formulating new policies that
would enhance the security and capabilities in cooperation with the Corps of Cadets of
PNPA and other personnel within the Camp.

VI. HISTORY OF INSTALLATION

The LAKAN 3 Male Dormitory was constructed on year 2016. The building was
constructed at the Cadet square within Battalion area of Camp Gen. Mariano N.
Castaneda, Silang, Cavite, PNPA. It has (four) 4 floor, maximizing the 18 rooms
excluding the Comfort Room / Latrine. Each room occupies maximum of (three) 3 Bunks
and (six) 6 Steel lockers. Since the establishment of this dormitory, there was no history
of attack or harassment perpetrated by lawless elements against the dormitory. The
mission of the installation is to maintain the professionalism of the cadets, to have their
maximum security, maintain peace and order and build the camaraderie to the cadet
corps, PNPA.

Each duty of respective dormitory have their duty phone as means of


communication and dissemination of instruction from Cadet-in-Charge of the Day.

D. Structural Barriers:

The dormitory is made of concrete walls, the window is made of glass with steel
frame and the floor is made of marble tiles.

E. Guarding System:
Two (2) Cadets are designated as Duty CCD and Duty ACCD with 0500H to
2300H tour of duty instructed by the Cadet-in-Charge of the day. SOG (Sentinel of the
Guards) with his (six) reliefs duty guards each floor of the dormitory served as duty from
2300H to 0500H of the following day as their tour of duty.

F. Firefighting facilities:

Each floor of the dormitory installed set of firehose kit with fire extinguisher.
Sta Rosa Fire Station, Rizal Boulevard, Santa Rosa City, Laguna is the nearest fire
station is more or less 10 kilometers away from PNPA.

Physical Security

Every floor of the dormitory has its own supply sergeant who is responsible for the keeping of
communication devices such as handheld radios and company duty phones.

Transmission

The cadets use their handheld radios and duty phones to transmit messages and instructions.

Emission

The messages are coming from the camp commander relayed to the regimental intelligence
officer and given to each and every cadets.

XVI. RECOMMENDATIONS

A. Physical Security:

1¶ Increase the height level of fences and add top guard on it.

2¶ Installation of CCTV cameras in strategic places.

3¶ Guard houses should be constructed around the camp.

B. Personnel Security:

1. Designate additional security guards to maintain high security standard of the camp.
