Tips for IELTS speaking Test

1. Be formal  like you are in a job interview, be at your best behavior


2. Be polite/cultured.
3. Give a full answer in sentence not just one word but try
4. Maintain good posture, do not lean
5. Speak clearly, be enthusiastic, do not use monotonous intonation
6. Use descriptive words : use dynamic words, show your best vocabularies
Avoid overly used words such as : OK, good, bad, nice
7. Speak up, loud enough to be heard & recorded, proper pitch.
8. Keep a steady pace
9. Explain foreign words
ex: I come from Hyderabad
I come from a city in southern part of India called Hyderabad
Never answer with ‘I don’t know’ you are allowed to make up your answers & spice it up

10.Stay on topic, do not get carried away


11.Do not use slang words : Kids  children
Things  matter/objects
Stuff substance
12.Do not memorize answers
13.Be confident, friendly & keep the eye contact
