Area wise Observations:

CCU:-
CCM Area (Located at Caster 3 PLC Control Room)-
1. 6 nos. of line cards are available in the CCU which can cater up to 48 subscriber
stations. Balance 2 nos. of cards is to be supplied to equip minimum 64 subscriber
stations in totality as per contract.
2. Line card slot L1 is used for interfacing and ICC card is connected.
3. Earthing of UPS System.

BOF Area (located at BOF Old Control Room)-

1. 7 nos. of line cards are available in the CCU which can cater up to 56 subscriber
stations. Balance 1 no. of card is to be supplied to equip minimum 64 subscriber
stations in totality as per contract.
2. Line card slot L1 is used for interfacing and ICC card is connected.
3. Earthing of UPS System.

Common Points for PTT Stations:-

1. Earthing of both the CCU units is not done.
2. Electronic earth pits are to be constructed and connected to CCU.
3. Cable tagging at start & termination points including at 20 mtrs interval is yet to be done.
4. Ferruling of cable termination points is not done.
5. Numbering of PTT station to be done with black colored paint.
6. Various card slots numbering in CCU unit is faulty.
7. CCU door earthing is to be done.
8. Illumination to be provided inside the CCU compartment.
9. Nomenclature of all the MCBs such as PS, Battery charger etc to be done.
10. Interfacing card nomenclature is to be done.
11. CCU field & card JB numbering is incorrect.
12. Terminals (4 nos.) nomenclature of each station are not available at both ends; i.e; CCU
side & instrument side.
13. Single phase Power supply to both the CCU units through battery bank is given from
RSP’s MLDB panel at both the areas. The said supply is to be changed/ connected to a
nearby Power Distribution Board as MLDB panel is prone to earth fault.
14. One MCB in between RSP’s power source and UPS to be connected which should be
adjacent the CCU unit at both the areas.
15. No goose mikes are connected to any desktop unit of PTT stations.
16. List showing supplied commissioning spares, laptops, software with required license,
operation & maintenance tools etc is to be submitted strictly as per contract which will be
handed over to purchaser after completion of commissioning.
17. All the as-built drawings, manufacturing datasheet for all the equipments of PTT system,
test certificates; software details, philosophy, catalogues & manuals are to be submitted.
18. Sheet showing item wise the list of two years maintenance spares along with their
pricing is to be submitted.
19. Canopy to be provided in all outdoor wall mounted PTT stations.
20. Certificate showing ingress protection standard IP65 as mentioned in the PTT catalogue
to be submitted for outdoor wall/ column mounted PTT stations. Ingress of dusts inside
the PTT stations has been observed at various locations which in turn shall short circuit
the circuit board.
21. As per page 28 of 38 of technical volume of contract; CCU to be equipped for minimum
64 subscriber stations, which is not available in both the areas i.e; CCM & BOF
22. All cables shall be laid in GI conduit for hot zones and in heavy duty PVC channel.
23. Group calling facility is to be incorporated as per requirement in the PTT system.
24. Auto calls transfer, transferring an ongoing call, leaving a call request, enquiry call &
time display features are to be shown.
25. The feature of auto diagnostic & fault indication are to be provided in the system to take
corrective action in case of fault.
26. Facility with required hardware/ software & cabling shall be provided for interfacing the
system with plant PBX system so that one-way announcement from the selected
telephone sets can be made to the external loudspeakers of all subscriber stations.
27. The CCU is to be powered from redundant UPS system with independent battery bank
as per page 8 of 38 of technical volume of contract.
28. All the basements and cable entry hole are to be sealed.
29. Earthing, ferruling, cable tagging, provision of canopy, nomenclature & TB numbering
are to be done for all SDFs, MDF, PJBs etc.
30. Laminated PTT station directory & operating instruction sheet are to be fixed on the wall
beside each station so as to make it convenient to make calls to desired stations.
