Theoretical Framework
About this report aims to provide a conceptual framework to address food and security
under conditions of water scarcity in agriculture. It has been prepared by a team FAO
staff and consultants in the framework of the project “ Coping with scarcity” and has
the period 14-16 December 2009 on the same subject. It was subsequently edited and
revised, taking account of taking discussion in the expert of consultation and materials
recommendations on the range of technical and policy options and associated principles

INTRODUCTION
Water scarcity is among the main problem to be faced by many societies and the water
availability in a century or in a region is below 1000m per person per year. However (m
per person per year, which could be considered). Many regions of the world experience
of much more severe scarcity of living water with less than 500m per person per year,
which could be considered as severe water scarcity. The threshold of 2000m per person
per year is considered to indicate that region is water stress since under these population
We can use a high desalination that often use non-renewable groundwater resources and
waste water re-use to compensate for the scarcity of water. We must need to use some
alternative ways for us to cope up in this certain situation such as to develop water
monitoring and regulations, treat water resource better, promote rainwater harvesting and
construct better water point. In this kind of ways it is easy for us to conserve our living
water. Water scarcity causes enormous problems for the population and societies. The
available water is not sufficient from the production of food and for alleviating hunger and
Some of the ways we can use to is the groundwater desalination in which people tend to
get water from the ground. It is the best way they do during a decades.

Also the rainwater harvesting in which it really mean a lot to the people who tend
to be in crisis situation.it is also a best way to cope up from this shortage of water.
The seawater desalination in which people also tend to get water on the sea.
It has also the surface water in which people need to dig the surface in its very deepest
Lastly is the delivery of water supply by the water district or the authorities to keep
on giving a enough water supply to the people especially to those who in needs.

ABSTRACT
This study was conceptualize to determine the ways of coping insufficient water supply.
The purpose was to determine the different and alternative ways on getting water
and how it could help us. The study found out that many of the respondents are engaging
of using an alternative way of water supply in times of crisis. Using the questionnaire
which is the primary tool for getting data. The recommendations were made for the
government, consumers and also the policy makers. For this to increase the benefits we
respondents is that 55% of the respondents ages about 20-29 years old while the
percentage of the gender is 55% also and 70% of the respondents are single.

respondents based on the objective of the study. The first part covers the profile of the
respondents. The second part shows ways of coping insufficient water supply. Lastly is

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS
This chapter presents the summary of the findings, the conclusions drawn from the
Summary of findings
This study was conceptualized with the main objective of determining the ways of
coping insufficient water supply and also the benefits we can get from it.
Age. The largest group is 20-29 years old with the frequency of 11 and with the
percentage of 55%.
Gender. The largest group is female with the frequency of 11 and with the percentage of
55%.
Civil status. The largest group is the single in terms of status with the frequency of 14 and
Majority of the respondents are strongly agree of the ways and benefits of ways of coping

CONCLUSION
Based on the findings derived from this study, the following conclusions were
drawn:
1. Mostly of the respondents are in the age of 20-29 years old and it is female and
single.
2. Almost of the respondents are strongly agree of the ways of coping insufficient
water supply.
3. Mostly of the respondents are really aware of the happening in the society in
