2 SOLEPLATES
a) Proper sole plates used
3 BASEPLATES
a) Proper base plates fitted to all standards or length of
scaffold
7 TIE - BACK
a) At every 2 lift or every floor starting from base
b) Spaced not more than 3 bays or 7.5m apart whichever
is lesser
c) Spaced no further than one bay from ends in a
staggered manner
d) Effective temporary tie back at top most working level
8 FOOT-TIE
a) Foot-ties fitted to both inner and outer standards
9 WORKING PLATFORM
a) i- continuous working platform at construction
ii - isolated working platform are provided with proper
guardrails and toe boards which are placed inside
the standard and securely fastened in position
b) Scaffolding planks are closely laid across the full width
of the scaffold with no opening except for access to
platform

c) Decking are held down securely to prevent
uplift and cantilever effect
d) For timber decking, the plank used shall be
at least 200mm wide and 38mm thick and it is not
projecting beyond its end support by more
than 4 times its thickness
12 GUARDRAIL
a) Guardrails are fitted and connected to standard
14 DEBRIS NET
a) Debris net to be erected to prevent articles and debris
dislodged from the scaffold falling on to the public
access
15 LADDER
a) Ladder are securely attached to the scaffold at the
top and bottom
16 TEMPORARY STRUCTURE
a) No scaffold is connected to a temporary structure
19 HOUSEKEEPING
a) Working platform, access ways and landing cleared
off any obstruction, loose objects and tripping hazards
b) Scaffold free from debris, unused formwork, scaffold
components, etc
20 SIGNAGE
a) Suitable signages are placed at appropriate locations
