- The partners will rock, paper, scissors. The winner will turn around and run towards the
red line, while the other partner will try and tag that person.
- If the partner who won, runs past the red line without being tagged they get a point.
- If the partner who lost, tags the person before the other partner gets to the red line, no
point are given.
NOTE: When walking back, head up because other people will be running and prefer if no one
got hurt. Have the students stay in their lane.

- Everyone else can come to the white board to explain the game chaos.

Body (time: 50mins)

Learning Activity #1: Chaos

- The teacher will explain the game to the students.
- The rules are as followed:
o One team will be on the outfield and another teams will be lined up on the blue
line.
o The teacher will be the pitcher, rolling the ball to someone on the line.
o When the ball is kicked not everyone has to run, however the kicker must run.
Other people can run if they choose too. They need to run to the other side past
the blue line without getting hit by the ball.
o To score a point they need to come back to the where the ball is kicked.
o To switch from outfield to kicking, the outfield team must catch the ball or hit one
of the people running.
o When the outfield team catches or hits someone with the ball a whistle is be blown
meaning switch.
o All the outfield players must get back to the blue line before the kicking team gets
the ball.
Beware: if the kicking team that is now outfield and hits someone on the now kicking team
before they reach the blue line the teams switch again.
3

o If the outfield team catches the ball and throws it, the teams will not switch.
o If a student on a team that is switching accidently hits the ball or if the ball
bounces and hits someone that counts. The teams will switch.
NOTE: The teams can switch multiple times during one kick. Points cannot be scored when
switching. This is a game the students will learn more by playing.

Learning Activity #2: If the students do not like chaos play kickball
- Switch up the teams if they are a little unfair. If not keep them the same.
- Create a square with pylons for students to act as home plate. Students will have to run
through the pylons/cones.
- Have students willing to volunteer, carry a floor mat near the wall of the right (Not near
the door) as first base. One mat at the opposite side of the home plate to act as second.
The last mat across from the first plate to act as third base.
- The rules are as followed:
o There are 3 outs.
o You are allowed to steal bases.
o Anybody can run.
o If there is no at home to kick, the team that is kick get an automatic out.
o To get people out students have to catch or hit someone with the ball. If the ball
rebounds off the wall or bounces and hits the kicking team that counts. Standing
on the mat does not count as an out.
o If someone is hit in the head that does NOT count as an out.
o Need one person to kick, the kicker must run.
o Foul line (can’t run) will be an imaginary line that is created by the cones.
o Have to go through the pylons/cones to score a point. Each person counts as a
point.

Closure (time: 5mins)

Feedback From Students on Learning: Setting and Bumping Position

- Before students can leave they have to show their bumping and setting position.

Transition To Next Lesson(s): Might be playing dodgeball next time.

Student Differentiation:
- Some people may not want to kick, have the teacher pick students who can kick.
- The teacher can EMPHASIS on communication when catching or passing the ball.
- Instead of having anybody run, switch the game to just the kicker is running.
