USER OPERATIONAL GUIDE

School Management System (SMS)


1. Getting Started
User will first enter in the web browser and type
https://school.banglarshiksha.gov.in/smsinto the address bar and press enter, below
mentioned User log-in screen will appear.

School Login: Three types of roles are available – School, HoI/Staff and Student. To
check the credential of HoI and other staffs – need to login first time as school. Select
User Role ‘School’ from the dropdown, enter school DISE code and enter 32 after DISE
code into ‘Username’ field, enter password into ‘Password’ field, enter captcha code into
‘Type Captcha' field and click ‘LOGIN’ button.
After 1st login, it redirect to ‘Change Your Password’ page. Enter Old Password, New
Password and Confirm Password; click ‘Update’ button. The page will redirect to the
login page. Now user able to login with new password.

NOTE: Password should be at least 8 characters in length and should contain at


least one lowercase, uppercase, numeric & special character.

2. Setup
2.1 Class- Click ‘Class’ link under ‘Setup’ to view class details of the school. If user want
to update Class information then click on ‘Edit’ button.

After clicking on the Edit button user will be able to add class by CHECK and remove
class by UNCHECK the checkbox option; click ‘Save’ button to save class information
2.2 Section- Click ‘Section’ link under ‘Setup’ to view section details according to class of
the school. If user want to update Section information then click on ‘Edit’ button.

After click on the Edit button user able to add section by CHECK and remove section by
UNCHECK the checkbox option; click ‘Save’ button to save section information.
2.3 Language- Click ‘Language’ link under ‘Setup’ and click on ‘Add’ button to add
language details of the school.

Select Medium, First Language, Second Language, Third Language and click ‘Submit’ button to
add language in school setup.
After adding languages it will show in the list. User able to edit or delete languages by clicking
on Edit/Delete icon.

2.4 Subject- Click ‘Subject’ link under ‘Setup’ and click on ‘Add New Subject’ button to
add school specific subject of the school.

Enter at least 3 characters into ‘Subject’ to search existing subjects, user able to see existing
subject list (if any), click the checkbox and click ‘Save Selected’ to add school specific subject.
If user does not find any existing subject,
subject, enter subject name into ‘Subject’ field, enter subject
code into ‘Subject
ct Code’ field and click ‘Save typed subject’ to add new school specific subject.

3. Staff
Click ‘Staff Profile’ link under ‘Staff’ to view name of school staff and corresponding Username.
NOTE: The Username is essential for Staff Login

4. Routine

Click ‘Routine’ link under ‘Academic’. Select Medium, School Session, Class, Section and cl
click
‘Search’ button to create routine for specific class and section.

Select teacher name and corresponding subject, click on checkbox according to Day and Period
And click ‘Save’ button.

NOTE: i) User can select multiple subject, multiple teacher and click on ‘+’

ii) User can select the same subject, multiple teacher and click on ‘+’

5. Formative / Summative Evaluation from Hoi/Teacher/Staff Login

Staff Login: Select User Role ‘Hoi/Teacher/Staff


Hoi/Teacher/Staff’’ from the dropdown, enter Hoi/Teacher/Staff
username into ‘Username’ field, enter password into ‘Password’ field, enter captcha code into
‘Type Captcha' field and click ‘LOGIN’ button.

NOTE: Hoi/Teacher/Staff username should collect from Staff Profile under

Formative: Click ‘Formative Evaluation’ link under ‘Academic’. Click ‘Add/Edit Formative Score’
button to add formative evaluation for particular section of a class.

Select Date, Term, Medium, Class, Section, Subject and click ‘Search’ button. Enter formative
marks into corresponding field and click ‘Save’ button to save formative marks of students.
To Edit/Delete formative score, click ‘Formative Evaluation’ link under ‘Academic’. Click on the
Edit button to edit formative score,

Click on the Delete button to delete any particular formative score.

User able to see PCA and PCB score from Formative page.
Click PCA button to see Peacock-A score

Click PCB to see Peacock-B score


Summative:Click ‘Summative Evaluation’ link under ‘Academic’. Click ‘Add/Edit Summative
Score’ button to add formative evaluation for particular section of a class.

Select Date, Term, Medium, Class, Section, Subject, Category and click ‘Search’ button. Enter
summative marks into corresponding field and click ‘Save’ button to save summative marks of
students.

To Edit/Delete summative score, click ‘Summative Evaluation’ link under ‘Academic’. Click the
Edit button to edit summative score, update score and click ‘Save’ button to update the score.
Click on the Delete button to delete any particular summative score.
6. Marksheet

Click ‘Marksheet’ link under ‘Academic’. Select Class, Section and click ‘Search’ button. Click on
‘View’ icon besides student name to generate marksheet. Click on ‘Print’ icon to print
marksheet.

After clicking on ‘View’ button marksheet will generate
