III. ANALYSIS (31 – 50)

Read, analyze and answer the guided questions below. You may use the space at the back of this
paper.

Let’s assume that you are expert in Stress Management in your school. Your case includes Cheapper, a
Grade 12 Senior High School Student. He was referred to you by his classroom teacher.

The teacher has concerns regarding Cheapper due to his recent change in behaviour. Historically,
Cheapper has been a top student and is very outgoing. He is also a member of honor society, plays basketball,
and is a member of the Drama Team. Upon his return from a semestral break, Cheapper was noticeably
withdrawn and his grades began to drop. He was withdrawn from the Drama team and he seems to have lost
interest in basketball and also in everything.

The teacher shared that at a recent parent/teacher conference the family did not seem concerned
about Cheapper’s behaviour changes but rather focused their attention on Cheapper’s academic
performance. The teacher also informed you that he tried to connect with Cheapper to talk about his
concerns. But when he tried to do so, Cheapper became angry, burst into tears, and stormed out of the room.

Guided Questions:

1. Identify the problems, issues and concerns that arise with Cheapper’s situation.

2. How would you classify Cheapper’s situation?

3. Discuss on how you are going to help him cope with this kind of situation. You may create Stress
Management Plan.
