Hi Tom,
Thanks for your email. It was great to hear your
news. I’ve started my new school and it’s OK. I
was extremely fed up when I moved here. But I’m
feeling a bit better now. Guess why!
I’ve been exploring! I’ve found a really amazing
place. It’s a very ancient castle near my new
home. It’s called Crew Castle and it’s in ruins. I
can see it from my bedroom. At night, it looks
really scary! I’ve taken photos of it and I’ve
attached one for you.
Last Sunday morning, I was bored so I decided
to explore the castle. I had to climb over a wall
to get in. That was fairly easy because the wall
has fallen down! I visited the inside of the castle.
Then, I went down some stairs to a large room.
It was quite dark down there, but I could see the
entrance to a tunnel. When I was looking into the
tunnel, a bat flew out. Urgh! I was terrified and I
ran all the way home!
I told Dad and he was extremely angry. He says
that I mustn’t go into the castle on my own. But
he was also very interested in the tunnel. He says
that he will explore it with me next weekend! I’m
really excited! I’ll send you an email and tell you
what we find.
