ABSTRACT
The main focus of this study is to revive the community, its identity and its continuity in a town which today still
has its own identity and is known for its artistic forms. Thus the main question for a particular city today is to run
with its present times or to revive its own identity. The design explores the values of the community, rekindles its
own identity and moves forward in contemporary times.

AIM
To provide a platform that generates opportunities for the town to evolve through its heritage, economy and
culture.

OBJECTIVES

 To create a platform for weavers to create opportunities to maintain intact the city's cultural and
economic values.
 To facilitate collectivization of handloom weavers in order to promote sustainable city growth for
production, marketing and other supporting activities.
 To serve as a center to continuously learn and develop new designs and samples of fabrics, as well as
other related cluster services.To disseminate information about the development in handloom industry.
 To provide the weavers with a self-supporting unit to improve the economy and skill.

METHODOLOGY:
The study involves three stages,
Study of weaving industry of ponduru,Andhra Pradesh.
Understanding the patterns of the particular art form.
Interpretation of patterns in Architectural design.

SCOPE OF WORK
This project focuses on the upgradation of the weaving industry of ponduru.
The project has major two components for the upgradation of weavers,
Common facility Center
Handloom Institute
By collaborating learning and business in one unit, it would help each other to involve each other in their same
field.

INTRODUCTION
The primary objective is to merge the weaving abstractions with the place's architectural language. Weaving is a
process of exploring shapes, space, light, color and pattern, thus creating endless possibilities and transformative
possibilities for a design.Warps and tissues are the fundamental elements of tissue. The following was taken to
account for the indepth patterns of the weaving, inter-relationship, mixture of colours, mergence, and densifying. The
scrub mechanisms command the warp yarns, control their density and position the weft yarn.The building would go
into continuity by combining those abstractions with the constructed forms.
