Aspirational for the next generation of young handloom weavers to cultivate the skills
among the future generations.
Handloom weaving constitutes one of the richest and most vibrant aspects of the Indian
cultural heritage. The sector has an advantage of being less capital intensive, minimal
use of power, eco-friendly, and flexibility of small production, openness to innovations
and adaptability to market requirements.
To blend the fashion industry and tradition weaving which is the main aim to ensure its
future longevity.
To Involve and Integrate global citizens with the cultural roots and practices of traditional
weavers.
Creating footing in the competitive contemporary fashion marketplace.
In view of the changes in style and fashion and competition from the power loom and
mill sectors, the growth in production, sales and employment of handloom co-operative
societies would show a declining trend.
From my point of view E-trading is the solution for all recurring issues.
