GROUP 3- Session Guide

Implementing the Curriculum

I. Greetings:
Say:
Good day Everyone, when I say “Hi” you will say “Hello”, ok? Hi? Hello? I am Iriegn Ciarra A.
Jayme and I will be facilitating the session of Implementing the Curriculum, which will be
shared by the Group 3.

II. Introduction:
Say:
Curriculum implementation refers to the planning and signing of the learning process. As
a teacher this will serves as primary tools that will role in the school. Curriculum implementation
mean “teaching” what has been written in the lesson plan.
Implementing means using the plan as a guide to engage with the learners in the teaching
learning process with the end in view that learning is occurred and learning outcomes has been
achieved.
In this session, you will learn more about effective teaching learning procedures strategies
and techniques that will make the learning environment stimulating, challenging and productive.

Objectives:
After this session, the students will be able to:
1. Identify the roles of the stakeholders in implementing the Curriculum.
2. Cite the importance of ICT in implementing curriculum development.
3. Demonstrate the different processes as they apply to curriculum development and
implementation.

A. Session: 1 hr. & 30 mins.
B. Video: approximately 30 mins.

V. Procedure:
A. Priming Activity:
Say:
Before we proceed to our lesson, I prepared an activity and this activity is called “4
Pics 1 Word”. The class will be grouped into four (4)
Direction: Attach all the pieces of the puzzle given to you to form the picture and arrange
the scrambled letters being referred by the pictures. The Group that will finish first will be declared
as the winner.

Do the following activities with your group mates.
Activity 1- The Curriculum Stakeholders: Do their Roles Differ?
1. Each group will composed at least ten (10) members.
2. With your group members, plan for a role playing presentation at least three stakeholders
of the curriculum as main characters and the rest of your group to take particular role.
3. Assign specific roles for each group member. Plan for appropriate dialogue and
conversations to clearly show the role of each one.
4. Present your role play to the whole class in ten minutes.
Activity 2- Reflect deeply and answer the question below:
1. How can technology help in enrichment activities?
2. Why is there a need to pilot test, monitor and evaluate curricular programs?
