1. Motivation: Teacher will show pictures (types of rocks) and ask if they can name the rocks shown

2. Presentation: The teacher will:

 Define what is minerals


 . Discuss the different properties of minerals that helps in its identification
 Shows picture on different type of minerals
Group Activity: Class is group into 3 and given each group a different topic to discuss on
Group 1: Among all the properties of minerals discuss, which of the following properties do you
think is the most helpful in identifying minerals.
Group 2: Base on the picture shown during discussion, draw atleast 4 types of minerals.
Group 3: How important is studying our topic for today’s lesson? List atleast 4 .
