FOR THE YEAR 2010-11

IMPORTANT: ALL ONLINE APPLICATIONS ARE TO BE VERIFIED AND APPROVED

ONLINE BY THE CANDIDATE’S PARENT INSTITUTION (For details of
Verification and Approval, see the Institution Guidelines available after Institution
login)

1. Applications are invited for the Central Sector Scholarship Renewal for the year 2010-11 from
the students who are awarded the scholarship during 2008-09 and 2009-10.

a. IInd Renewal for Awardees of the year 2008-09

b. Ist Renewal for Awardees of the year 2009-10

II. ELIGIBILTY

a. Only those applicants who are awarded Central Sector Scholarship (Fresh) during the
year 2008-09 or 2009-10 are eligible to apply for the renewal.

i. Students who are awarded CSS (Fresh) during 2008-09 should have
renewed the same during the year 2009-10.

b. The candidates should have secured 60% marks or equivalent SGPA in aggregate in the
annual/semester examinations of the year 2009-10 and should have been promoted to the
next class.

c. Candidates whose result for the academic year 2009-10 has not yet been published may
also apply for renewal. Their applications can be Verified and Approved by their college
authorities only after the declaration of results and filling in the mark/SGPA column by
the Institution. Their renewal of scholarship is subjected to securing the minimum
prescribed mark/SGPA as stated above.

d. The candidates should have at least 75% of attendance for the previous year and should
have maintained good discipline during the course of study.

e. The renewal for the year 2010-11 is subjected to the production of all documents
that are deficient in the application submitted (for Fresh/Renewal) during the year
2009-10. The list of such documents in respect of the candidate will be listed on the
top of the online registration printout. The listed documents are to reach Special
Officer for Scholarships, Directorate of Collegiate Education (Annexe), Govt. Sanskrit
College Campus, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram within the last date specified.
 f. All students who have received their scholarship during previous years (2008-09 Fresh-
200910 Ist Renewal and 2009-10 Fresh Awardees) should sent proper receipt for each
year separately as mentioned in the Appendix II within the date specified to Special
Officer For Scholarship, Directorate of Collegiate Education (annexe), Govt. Sanskrit
College Campus, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram.

III. HOW TO APPLY

a. Institutions within Kerala (Only ONLINE applications are permitted)

Eligible candidates have to submit online application www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in

>Central Sector Scholarship(CSS)> Renewal from 23.11.2010 onwards.
The online applications are to be VERIFIED and APPROVED online by the
(Candidate’s parent Institution) College authorities where the students are studying now.

i. In case of Government /Aided Institutions

On line printout and supporting documents collected from the applicants and
approved at the institution level are to be kept under safe custody of the Principal
for future verification by the Directorate of Collegiate Education. No
applications/documents are to be submitted/ forwarded by them to the
Special Officer for Scholarships, Directorate of Collegiate Education for this
purpose.

ii. In case of Unaided/Self Financing Institutions

Online print out with supporting documents collected from the applicants after
verification and approval at the institution level are to be forwarded to Special
Officer for Scholarships, Directorate of Collegiate Education(Annexe), Govt
Sanskrit College Campus, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram within the last date
specified.

b) Institutions Outside in Kerala.

Application in HARD COPY(Appendix I) with supporting documents collected from

the applicants, the Principals of such institutions have to forwarded the same to Special
Officer for Scholarships, Directorate of Collegiate Education (Annexe), Govt Sanskrit
College Campus, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram.
IV Documents to be Enclosed with Registration Printout

a. Copy of original Mark List of Annual/Semester Examinations of 2009-10 attested by

a gazetted officer.

V Procedure for Online Submission of Application

a) Click Central Sector Scholarship(CSS) in the Homepage of

www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in

b). Click on the Renewal button on the right.

c) Select the candidate’s Institution after selecting District and Institution type.

d) Select the Year of admission to the present course and select the Name of the Student.

e) Fill in the Account Number to which Scholarship amount is remitted last year and
click the Submit button.

f) Do online registration by filling in the data and click Submit button

g) Take Registration printout and submit it to the Institution with all specified
documents.

b. Submission of Registration Printout by the students to the Principal 02.12.2010

c. Verification and Approval by the Principal 04.12.2010

d. Submission of online printout to the Special Officer for Scholarships by Recognized

Unaided/Private/ Self financing Colleges 07.12.2010

e. Submission of applications to the Special Officer for Scholarships by the educational

institutions Out Side Kerala 07.12.2010

f. Appendix II in respect of all candidates to reach Special Officer Scholarship by

07.11.2010

g. Deficient documents listed on the top of registration printout to reach Special Officer
Scholarship by 07.11.2010
