Writing skills are important in many areas of our lives.

They help us to properly and effectively

communicate information in a way that many people will be able to understand. Many different

classes and careers require proper writing techniques and formats to properly communicate with

an intended audience, be it co-workers, higher-ups, parents, peers, or anyone.

Being able to analyze rather than simply taking a side in an argument is important because it

gives you a new perspective to argumentative reasoning, rather than choosing with your

emotions or what you have been taught in the past. It allows you to form your own opinions

based on your own analysis of the subject.

The banking method is dangerous because it does not allow the student to do their own thinking

and reasoning. It only makes them repeat or memorize what is told to them. This method works

in the short term for getting decent grades, but in the future, leaves students significantly behind

when they are forced to think for themselves.
