Just outside the never-ending construction zone surrounding the ancient Wittich Hall, a

bright fluorescent traffic cone stands tall, warning pedestrians of the dangers that lurk ahead. The

dutiful traffic cone does its job very well. It’s quite interesting that simple orange triangle has so

much meaning to it, and no one questions it. The cylindrical triangle made of thermoplastics has

never been questioned because of the threats it protects it from. The bright orange fluorescent

color gains our attention as we approach. It catches our attentive eyes and sparks a sense of

awareness inside ourselves. In some it may create a feeling of curiosity and wonder.
