Home Screen
As you start the Nakshatra Jyotish Software, a Birthday Reminder screen pops up. This lists the birthday
of all those people whose details are saved in your software. The list will be for today and next day (i.e.
tomorrow). Click Close to proceed.

After closing the Birthday Reminder screen, you land on the main screen of the software. By default,
the software opens a default chart based on Cuspal Inter Link theory with time and details of the
opening of software.
Tool Bar
Following table lists the tool bar and their functions in detail:

Function Description
These are three different categories to open various types of charts:
1. N: Click this to cast a Natal Chart.
2. H: Click this to cast a Horary Chart.
3. Ip: Click this read an Instant Prashna Chart.
Click this to open an existing chart saved in your software.

Click this to open a transit locator to find transit for a particular combination.
Click this to open a transit chart.

Click this to open a chart for Ephemeris.

Click this to know the dates for Solar and Lunar Eclipse.

Use this to add to delete categories in your software. By default three categories
namely Natal, Horary and Ip are given with this software.
Click this to add a new place to your software database.
Click this to backup your data.

Click this to recover your backed up data.

This option allows you to customize the settings such a Current Location,
Preferences, Astrologer’s Details and Languages.
Click this to add remarks or notes for the chart.
Click to exit the software.
Creating a Natal Chart
To cast a Natal chart:

1. From the tool bar Go to File > New Natal Chart, or simple click icon.
2. Software asks for the details of native whose chart is being created.

3. Provide the following details of native:

a. Name: Name of the Native
b. Sex: Gender of the Native
c. Category: Category where you want save this chart. You can also create a new category:
i. Click on Add New Category button.
ii. Select the chart type.

iii. Type the name of category, e.g. Students, Relatives, Artists, etc.
 iv. Click Add button.
d. Life Events: You can add life events of the native that will be helpful to do birth time
rectification later on. For example to add child birth as a life event.
i. Click Life Events button from the window shown in Step 2 above.
ii. This opens the Life Event window, click Add New button to add an event.

iii. Provide description of the event e.g. Child Birth.

iv. Provide the event details such as Date, Time, Place, State, County, Time, etc.
 v. To add place name, click Place button to open the place window.
vi. In the place window add three letters of the place to populate the window and
double click on the place name and click Ok button to add place in the life
events.

vii. Click Save button to save the event.

viii. On the left panel you can see the added events. Click on any edit events to
delete or edit the added events.
e. Date: Provide Date of birth of the Native.
f. Time: Provide the available exact time of birth.
g. Time Zone: Write the time zone difference as per the location of native’s birth.
h. Time Correction: Write the time correction for DST or War time.
i. Place: In the place option add three letters of the place to populate the window and
double click on the place name and click Ok button to add place in the life events.

Note: You can also add a place while creating a chart, Next section describes how to
add a place.
j. Longitude: It is automatically uploaded with the place.
k. Latitude: It is automatically uploaded with the place.
l. Comments: You can add any remarks or comments for the chart.
4. Click on Okay to save the chart.
5. Click Yes to confirm the saving of the chart.

6. This saves and opens the chart for you.

7. Next step is to rectify the birth time.
Birth Time Rectification (BTR)
Pre-requisites for BTR

1. Ensure that you have created and saved a Natal chart to rectify the birth time. You will not able
to see this option if you have not saved the chart.
2. Also, BTR is only applicable for Natal charts, i.e. it is not relevant for Horary and IP chart.
3. Provided you have moon Moon Star lord of all genetic connections (not mandatory).

Steps to rectify the birth time:

1. After you saved the natal chart, you can see the option of Birth Time Rectification. Click this to
open the BTR screen.

2. The software opens the BTR Screen.

3. If Nakshtras of genetic connections are available. You should provide the information in the
Select Genetical Connection.

a. Select the checkbox against the cusp to enable that cusp detail.
b. Select the Moon Star Lord from the dropdown list.
c. Select the Sex of the First child from the drop down. The sex section is available only for
the 5th Cusp.
4. After you have set the available Moon Star Lord Details. You should go on to correct the birth
time rectification.
5. If you want software to run the BTR for you, click auto. Else, you can select manual to manually
forward the direction.
6. Ensure that you have clicked Use Virtual SSL checkbox for absolute rectification.
 7. Once you have set this, click the Backward or Forward arrows to move the time ahead of
backward respectively. While BTR is running it will show the results.

8. After BTR is done and you have noted the time. You can Click Next BTR button to find another
time on same parameters.

Important Note: As mentioned above, in case you have set the BTR you must match the life events to
set the exact BTR from the available rectified times.
Cusp Rotation
Cusp rotation is a method to predict the events for the genetic or relevant connections of the Native.
For example, if you want to predict the life events for the native’s mother but mother’s details are not
available, you can still do it from the cusp rotation.

After Native’s exact birth time has been found post BTR is done and life event matching. You can do the
cusp rotation. For example, to find out the native’s mothers chart click IV as fourth cusp signifies
mother.
Cuspal Interlink
After you have rectified the Birth Time and matched the events to find out exact time, you should go the
Cuspal Interlink window for the predictions.

To Open the Cuspal Interlink, on the Native chart click Cuspal Interlink tab:
Setting Dasha
To find the current dasha or dasha period for a particular time zone go to the Native Chart.

1. On the native chart, go to the Vimshottari Dasha.

2. Click Current Dasha tab to find the dasha details, else type the date in Dates section to find the
dasha for mentioned dates.
Horary
Horary chart helps you to answer the query of native by selecting horary numbers without creating a
chart.

1. To open a Horary Chart click from the tool bar shown below.

2. It opens the Horary window as shown below.

Fill the details like have been suggested in the Natal Chart above in this manual.
3. To cast a Horary chart, you have select the Chart Type (shown in the screen above). There are
two types of chart available:
Horary (1 To 249): Select this if you want horary based on KP to a sub lord level.
Horary (1 To 2193): Select this if you want the horary based on CIL to a sub-sub lord
level.
4. Type the horary number manually depending upon the horary type you have created.
5. You can also click Generate Random Horary Number to let system generate for you.
6. Click OK to continue with the chart.
Instant Prashna (Ip)
Instant Prashna (Ip) helps you answer the query of native by calculating the chart right now.

Note: Ensure that you have updated the location in software before opening the Instant Prashna. For
example, if your location in the software is set to Delhi, India but you are predicting IP chart from
Mumbai, Maharasthra then the predictions will not be correct.

1. To open a Ip Chart click from the tool bar shown below.

2. System will generate the chart for you to be ready to predict.

Sarvato Bhadra Chakra

To view the Sarvato Bharda chakra of the native in Nakshatra Jyotish Software:

1. Go to Main Menu > Tools.

2. Click Sarvato Bhadra (second option) Chakra to open the chakra.

3. On the right side panel, you can:

a. You can type the date and time to calculate the transit for that period.
b. You can Print and preview the Sarvato Bhadra Chakra Report.
Divisional Charts (Vedic 16)

Using this feature, you can view the divisional (shad varga) charts, Grah, Shad Bal, Vimshopak Bal and
Grah Maitri (planet relationship). To view the divisional or Vedic 16 charts:

1. Go to Main Menu > Tools.

2. Click Vedic 16 Vargas and Grah Bal (fourth option in the image above).

3. A new window opens (as shown above) with the following three tabs:
a. Shad Varga
i. This shows the divisional charts with Shad Vargas, D6 & D-8 and Summary
b. Vimshopak Bala
c. Shad Varga
d. Planet Relationship or Grah Maitri

All these options have feature to export to word, pdf and print the required chart.
Cuspal Divisional Charts

Using this feature, you can view the cuspal divisions for each of the divisional charts. To view the cuspal
divisional charts:

1. Go to Main Menu > Tools.

2. Click the Cuspal Divison Charts (fifth option from the image above). It will open the Cuspal
Divisional Charts window.
3. In the Cuspal Divisional Chart window, select the Division for which you want to see the cuspal
position from the Select Division option.

4. You can print, preview of export this report to the pdf by using the given options.
KP Significators

Using this feature, you can view the KP Significators. To view these significatiors:

1. Go to Main Menu > Tools.

2. Click the KP Significators (sixth option from the image above). It will open KP Significators
window with following three tabs
a. KP Signifiactors (1)
b. KP Significators (2)
c. Four Step KP Table

All these options have feature to export to word, pdf and print the required report.
Ashtak Varga

Using this feature, you can view the KP Significators. To view these significatiors:

1. Go to Main Menu > Tools.

2. Click the Ashtak Varga (seventh option from the image above). It will open the Ashtak Varga
window. It has two tables namely Natal Summary and Natal Ashtak vargas.
3. In the Ashtak Varga window, select the Division for which you want to see the Ashtak Varga.

4. You can print, preview of export this report to the pdf by using the given options.
Nadi Chart

Using this feature, you can view native’s chart according to Nadi Astrology. To view the Nadi Chart:

1. Go to Main Menu > Tools.

2. Click the Ashtak Varga (last option from the image above). It will open the Nadi Astrology
window.

3. This will open the default window for the native with Nadi Chart and Planet Signifactors.
4. You can use the right panel to view the dashas and rotate the house for related predictions.
5. This window also has option to Print, save and update the existing chart.
