CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
A. BACKGROUND
Listening is one of the most important skills in English Language
Learning. When students listen to the English language, they face a
lot of listening difficulties because listening is more than just
hearing what is said, it is an ability to understand the meaning of the
words. Every book made by different author must be have its each
goodness and weakness. So this critical book report made as a
reference for the reader.
B. PROBLEM FORMULA
1. THE STRONGNESS FROM TWO BOOKS
2. THE WEAKNESS FROM TWO BOOKS
C. PURPOSE
To find out the strongness and the weakness from two books.
CHAPTER 2
DISCUSSION
A.BOOKS IDENTITY
From the cover I think the cover on the second book is less attractive
But even though the cover is less attractive, inversely propotional
with the contents of the book.
The content in this book is very good and helpful. It has so many
illustration and color than the first book.
Also, there is a lot more exercise from the very beginning lesson,
like how to introduce yourself and so on
C. THE WEAKNESS OF THE BOOKS
This book is free but as an e-book, its very hard to find a free e-book
on internet. There is, but little
Hard to find the complete version
Cannot be accessed or downloaded without internet.
CHAPTER 3
CLOSING
A. CONCLUSION
Both of the books are good for learn, both of this books have each
strongness and weakness, they are discuss the same subject which is
listening. The main book is good for those who want to learn from the
basic or just for gai ning enough knowledge about listening. The
comparison book is more detailed for learning or improve your listening
skills. In the main book, there is less exercise but enough explanation,
the second book contains almost no explanation but so many exercises
but both are interesting.
B. SUGGESTION
For the first book, it needs some variety of colour to make the book more
interesting to read.
For the second book, it will be so much better if the book can be
disseminated widely, so readers can easily find it or acces it in many sites.
