3 Idiots

This movie tackles about the journey of two boys as they search their friend while

reminiscing their good times and extraordinary experiences in college.

The movie made me realize that life should not be a race with your neighbors instead it

should be a race between you and yourself. If we would be busy watching the progress of others

we won’t be happy of our own growth. Good friends will never leave your side nor turn their backs

from you. Countless times Rancho chose to be selfless for the sake of his friends Farhan and Raju.

It is no wonder that these idiots searched for Rancho because they owe a lot of advices and lessons

from him. Lastly, do not be afraid to take risks. Always remember that it is now or never because

the risks we don’t take are the ones that we will regret forever.

The five salient comments I have noticed about the movie with regards to assessment are;

first, praising students because they have good grades and that they performed well is good but not

to the extent that we have to humiliate them and their capacities. It can be seen in the movie that

there is a huge difference of how teachers treat students who excel well and don’t in the class. A

teacher should always appreciate the effort of the students and help them in improving their flaws

and weaknesses. Second, never abandon your weak students. It is always the job of the teachers

to teach students, empower them and motivate them to do better the next time around. Third,

grades do not only define how well and excellent a student performs in class but also of how a

teacher teaches and impart his/her lesson. Therefore, exams and quizzes are not only for assessing

the learning of the students but for assessing how good the teachers are also. Fourth, an educational

system should be friendly and should promote education that makes students learn with a purpose.

The methods and strategies of a teacher in teaching affects the learning of the students. Fifth, a

good teacher does not only assess his or her students alone but also assesses how well he/she is

teaching the lesson. If he/she thinks that he/she is not that effective, he/she should make

improvements and innovate ideas that would make a student learn from him/her.

This subject made me learn a lot not only as a student but as a person also. I always have

struggles when it comes to going to school early. I need to travel for almost an hour and I need to

take care of my younger brother. But I believe that there is nothing impossible on a person who

is dedicated and perseveres to reach his goals in life.

One thing that really struck on my mind are the lessons and advices that does not only

revolve on the four corners of the room but also about life. It made me realize that life is beautiful

and whatever struggle we may be facing is always a blessing in disguise.

I have learned a lot of teaching strategies and techniques that I can use if I would be on the

real world or on the field. Strategies that can make students learn and is suitable to them. Things

that I should do and should not do in order for me to teach effectively and be a productive educator.

If there are things that I like in this subject that would be because it helped me a lot in

improving myself not only as a student but also as a future teacher. I like how the discussion is

being inclined to the real world scenarios and does not only focus on what is written on the books.

The teacher and the subject taught me a lot of things with the things that I need to innovate

and improve. The things that needs changes and what should I retain. As a future teacher, I need

to exert more effort in attending to my class. I need to wake up early and manage my time well in

order for me to be effective. Family problems should not be bought in school for it will cause

disruptions on the focus of a teacher. Always post the things on the board so that students can take

note what the discussion is all about. Always have the courage and the passion to teach students

and impart your learnings. Prepare your lesson and always be ready. Accept criticisms and be

willing to change. All in all, I very much happy to have learned a lot of things in this subject.
