The given pie charts describe the distribution of world population, their expenditures
and their share of resource consumption.
As in the first chart, Food solely accounts for roughly a quarter, which is the highest
percentage among all expenses. By contrast, the amount used for Clothing
comprised only 6%, just half as much as money for Housing (12%) and one-third as
much as Food spending. Transport, with 18%, came in the next position. It seems
that there are much more other expenditures that people all around the world on an
average need to pay for (40%).
As to where people are living in the world, Asia clearly has more inhabitants than
the total of other parts of the world do all together. While Europe and America had
the same percentage of 14%, 4% less than that belonged to Africa. There is likely a
contradict pattern when it comes to the third graph about consumption of resources
when world population is taken into consideration. Although the number of residents
in Europe and America is significantly fewer than Asian people, these continents
consume a great amount of 60% of resources. 40% is used by the rest of the world.
