Movie tittle : Cinderella

Royal guard : Our Majesty, Your Royal Highness, My Lords, ladies and
gentlemen, distinguished visitors and people of our land, the prince shall now choose his
partner for the first dance.
The royal guards announced with very formal way of announcement in dance party by
saying Our Majesty, Your Royal Highness, My Lords, ladies and gentlemen

Royal guard : May I present Her Royal Highness, the Princess Chelina of
Zaragosa.
Princess Chelina : You are as handsome as your picture. And your little kingdom is
enchanting.
Prince Kit : I hope the princess will not find our "little kingdom" too confining.
The using of May I is polite way to ask permission and choosing the princess rather than
“you” shows the politeness of the Prince Kit and show formal version of language using in
formal event like royal party.

Prince Kit : It's you, isn't it?


Cinderella : Just so.
Prince Kit : Your Highness. If I may, that is it would give me the greatest
pleasure, if you would do me the honor of letting me lead you
The using of Your Highness is polite way to praise someone in palace. And Prince Kit
choosing would rather than “will” shows the politeness of the Prince Kit and show formal
version of language using in formal event like royal party.
Step mother : Forgive me, Your Grace. I did not mean to intrude.
King : No, it's you who have to forgive me, madam.
The using of Your Grace is polite also formal language to praise the King.

Prince Kit : Can you at least tell me your name?


Cinderella : My name is...I have to leave. It's hard to explain. Lizards and
pumpkins, and things.
Prince Kit and Cinderella are not using formal language conversation anymore because, it
takes place outside the party and they already known each other.

Prince Kit : Are you ready?


Cinderella : For anything, so long as it's with you.
Prince Kit : My queen.
Cinderella : My Kit.

It is informal way when Cinderella calls Prince Kit as My Kit not My King when the
have married.
