I. Brief Introduction

PSA(Pressure Swing Adsorption)nitrogen generators are widely used, easy to operate and produce
nitrogen at low cost, high purity and with a low dew point.

Based on the latest PSA technology, the machine uses a Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) to separate
nitrogen from the other gases contained in air. Compressed air contains mainly nitrogen and oxygen and
when it enters the CMS, nitrogen molecules are able to pass through but oxygen is absorbed. Generally
speaking it is easy to obtain nitrogen with a purity of up to 99.5% and a dew point of -60deg C.

II. Summary

The compressed air in a tire comprises 20.9% oxygen plus water vapor. The air expands when hot and
contracts when cold giving variations in tire pressure. When it is hot, the oxygen permeates through the
tire wall causing pressure loss. Moisture in the air is not good for the tire or the wheel.

Nitrogen provides constant pressure and is less susceptible to diffusion through the tire caused by
changing temperatures.

Nitrogen inflation minimizes moisture content and so takes away the corrosive element.

VI. Connection

1. Connect the compressor outlet to the machine’s air inlet (The air flow is ≥ 8cfm, air pressure is
145-175 psi in the process of producing nitrogen).
2. Connect the machine to 220V supply with a good earth.

Note: The maximum pressure setting value is 100psi, the minimum value is 15psi.

VII. Safety Regulations

1. Heavy nitrogen and oxygen gases can be produced in the process of producing nitrogen. Suffocation
can be caused by inbreathe nitrogen, while the oxygen will increase the risk of fire; therefore please
keep good ventilation in the installation area.
2. When connecting gas line system, please make sure the machine is switched off and under the
condition of no high pressures in the system.
3. The machine must be connected with ground wire reliably; otherwise the normal use of the machine
and the safety of the operator will be impacted.
4. Check the safety devices and pressure gauge termly in order to keep the working system normal.
5. Do not use the unqualified pipes and fittings.
6. Do not disassemble and assemble any pressure control valves without permission.
VIII. How to operate

1. Switch on the power.

2. Press “start/stop” key to start up machine.
3. Before inflating tire, turn the “drain/inflation valve” in the clockwise direction to inflation position; after
inflating tire, turn the “drain/inflation valve” in the counter-clockwise direction to drain position.
4. When power on, the equipment is under STD mode ( screen shows “STD”) with its wheel grab

clamps the tire and the air pressure >5 psi, the Nitrogen generator starts to inflate the tire

automatically, after reaching the preset pressure value shown on screen, the nitrogen generator
stops inflating.
5. Pressure unit setting (BAR and PSI), follow the below steps:
A) Power off
B) Push "+" and "-" key at same time, then power on again
C) While screen show 000, release push button of "+" and "-"
D) Push MODE key, adjust value under PSI or BAR, then power off.

Note: on the panel, it already prints PSI, so the default setting is PSI, when push the
“MODE” key one time, the value changes to BAR.

6. This nitrogen generator has 4 optional working mode:

A) Standard Mode (STD)

a. Press “+/-“ key to adjust pressure value until screen shows the required pressure
value.
b. Press “ start/stop” key, starts to inflate tyre, after reaching the preset pressure value
shown on screen, the nitrogen generator stops inflating, and buzz, screen shows
“END”.
c. Remove the inflation grab, turn the “drain/inflation valve” in the counter-clockwise
direction to drain position.

B) Over pressure setting mode (OPS)

a. Press “+/-“ key to adjust pressure value until screen shows the required pressure
value.
b. Press “Mode” key once, “OPS” indicator light.
c. Press “+/-“ key to adjust OPS value until screen shows the required OPS value
( within 0~15 psi can be freely increase or decrease).
d. Press “start/stop” key, starts to inflate tyre, after reaching the preset pressure value
shown on screen, the nitrogen generator stops inflating, and buzz, screen shows
“END”.
e. Remove the inflation grab, turn the “drain/inflation valve” in the counter-clockwise
direction to drain position.
C) Nitrogen purge mode (N2P)
a. Press “+/-“ key to adjust pressure value until screen shows the required pressure
value.
b. Press “Mode” key twice, “N2P” indicator light.
c. Press “+/-“ key to adjust the N2 purges times required (0~6 times can be freely
increase or decrease)

D) OPS/N2P mode
a. Press “+/-“ key to adjust pressure value until screen shows the required
pressure value.
b. Press “ Mode” key once, “OPS” indicator light.
c. Press “+/-“ key to adjust OPS value until screen shows the required OPS value ( 0~15
psi can be freely increase or decrease).
d. Press “Mode” key once, “N2P” indicator light.
e. Press “+/-“ key to adjust the N2 purges times required (0~6 times can be freely
increase or decrease)
f. Press “Mode” key once, both “OPS” and “NPT” indicator light.
g. Press “start/stop” key, starts to inflate tyre, after reaching the preset pressure value
shown on screen, the nitrogen generator stops inflating, and buzz, screen shows
“END”.
h. Remove the inflation grab, turn the “drain/inflation valve” in the counter-clockwise
direction to drain position.
