Automatic paint spraying with conveyor system

ABSTRACT:

❖ Mechanical engineering without production and manufacturing is meaningless and inseparable.

Production and manufacturing process deals with conversion of raw materials inputs to finished

products as per required dimensions specifications and efficiently using recent technology

❖ Spray painting is a painting technique where a device sprays a coating (paint, ink, varnish, etc.) through

the air onto a surface. The most common types employ compressed gas—usually air—to atomize and

direct the paint particles. Spray guns evolved from airbrushes, and the two are usually distinguished

by their size and the size of the spray pattern they produce. Airbrushes are hand-held and used instead

of a brush for detailed work such as photo retouching, painting nails or fine art. Air gun spraying uses

equipment that is generally larger. It is typically used for covering large surfaces with an even coating

of liquid. Spray guns can be either automated or hand-held and have interchangeable heads to allow

for different spray patterns

❖ In our project automatic spray painting with convey is done when a object finds in a conveyor

automatically paint spray over the surface job. when a object is passing over the convey, the IR

sensor find out the component in the conveyor and automatically switch ON the spray gun by a

pneumatic solenoid vale, after painting is done pneumatic solenoid valve is in

off mode, and again it starts the work if object finds in a conveyor, this system is fully monitored by a

control unit.

WORKING OPERATION:
ADVANTAGES
✔ no need of painter for this process
✔ paint wastage is minimized
✔ quality of painting is high

DISADVANTAGES

✔ Control system is closed loop so monitoring is risk
