Introduction To FOS
What is FOS?
- Front Office Services NC II is a technical-vocational program that teaches
students how to receive and process reservations, register, check-in and check-
out a guest in hotels and motels, operate a computerized reservation system,
provide reception services, conduct night audit, provide club services and
porter.

The Origin Of the Front Office


-The term “front office” is originally emerged in law enforcement in the early 20 th
century.Criminals in the underbelly of society called the main police or the main
detective bureau the front office because it was the highest law enforcement
establishment in a local area.By the 1930s, front office changed to encompass
the most critical staffers in a company, such as managers and executives.
