Pancreatitis is a very serious problem and potentially life-threatening. If you know you
have it, you must already be under the care of a medical doctor. If you have self-
diagnosed it based on symptoms and reading, or on lab tests you have ordered
yourself, you would be wise to consult a doctor. If a non-medical practitioner, like a
homeopath or naturopath has given you this diagnosis, it is probably wrong, but you
should still see a doctor. I’m imagining you have some symptoms that need to be
checked out.

Homeopaths will tell you they have a treatment for this and for any other disease you ...

The pancreas is an abdominal organ that is located behind the stomach and is
surrounded by other organs, including the spleen, liver and small intestine. The
pancreas is about 6 inches (15.24 centimeters) long, oblong and flat.

Enzymes, or digestive juices, produced by the pancreas are secreted into the small
intestine to further break down food after it has left the stomach. The gland also
produces the hormone insulin and secretes it into the bloodstream in order to regulate
the body’s glucose or sugar level. These hormones help the body control how it uses
food for energy.

Pancreatitis is a disease in which the pancreas becomes inflamed. Pancreatic damage

happens when the digestive enzymes are activated before they are released into the
small intestine and begin attacking the pancreas.

With repeated bouts of acute pancreatitis, damage to the pancreas can occur and lead
to chronic pancreatitis. Scar tissue may form in the pancreas, causing loss of function.
A poorly functioning pancreas can cause digestion problems and diabetes.

Obstruction of the pancreatic duct because of either a benign or malignant process

may result in chronic pancreatitis.

Significantly more men than women are affected.

Chronic pancreatitis usually begins in adults aged 40 to 50.

Causes of Chronic Pancreatitis

Alcoholism

Gallstones

Cigarette smoking

Cystic fibrosis

High calcium levels in the blood (hypocalcaemia), which may be caused by an

overactive parathyroid gland (hyperparathyroidism)

High triglyceride levels in the blood (hypertriglyceridemia)

Injury to the abdomen

Pancreatic cancer

In developed countries, the most common causes of chronic pancreatitis are

alcohol and gallstones. Recent research indicates smoking may be a high-risk
factor. Across the rest of the world malnutrition and associated dietary factors
have been implicate.

PANCREATIN is used as medicine. Pancreatin is used to treat digestion

problems that result when the pancreas has been removed or is not working
well. Cystic fibrosis or ongoing swelling (chronic pancreatitis) are two of the
conditions that can cause the pancreas to function poorly.

So many people write in asking, “What is the homeopathic remedy for a particular
disease.”

My answer is always the same. The homeopathic remedy is not prescribed for the
disease state as in this medicine for this disease. The Homeopathic remedy is
prescribed after a thorough investigation of all the patient’s symptoms. People may
have the same diagnosed disease, but each may need a different remedy depending on
all their symptoms.
