MIDWIFE ASSISTANT
· I am a trained midwife assistant from my attendance at MCU from 2009-2011. I have 10 years
experience as a midwife assistant.

BIRTH DOULA
· I have been a birth doula for 17 years. I received training with the American Academy of Husband
Coached Childbirth. I also took the DONA certification class but did not complete the paperwork to get
the certificate.

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION
· I received a certificate in the Bradley Method childbirth education from the AAHCC in 2002 and taught
Bradley classes for 7 years. I currently teach my own childbirth class to couples who plan an out-of-
hospital birth.
Experience
MIDWIFE ASSISTANT | WINNI MCNAMARA | 2012-CURRENT
· I have been attending home births and free standing birth center births with Winni for 7 years. I am
skilled in taking vital signs of both mother and baby, administering Pitocin if needed and preforming
NRP.

STUDENT MIDWIFE | MICHELLE ANTONICH | 2010


· I was a student for the whole year of 2010, going to prenatal appointment and doing client education,
taking vital signs, taking histories, listening to heart tones, doing physical exams. I also attended births
in the role of midwife assistant and towards the end of the year caught two babies with supervision.

STUDENT MIDWIFE | MOUNT VERNON BIRTH CENTER | 2017-CURRENT


· I have been a student doing my clinical rotation since December of 2017, going to prenatal and
postpartum appointments and doing client education, taking vital signs, taking histories, listening to
heart tones, doing physical exams. I started out attending births in the role of midwife assistant and
now I am currently a student in the role of primary midwife under supervision, with the goal to
graduate in August 2020.
