O my masters, sons of the Messenger y¡ maw¡liyya y¡ abn¡'a ras£li
of Allah, all¡hi ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻲ ﻳَﺎ ﺍْﺑﻨﹶﺎ َﺀ َﺭﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣﻮَﺍِﻟ ﱠ‬
I—your servant and the son of your
maid `abdukum wabnu amatikum ‫ﻢ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍ َﻣ ِﺘ ﹸ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﹸﻛ‬
ُ ‫َﻋ ْﺒ‬
who stand submissively before you, aldhdhal¢lu bayna ayd¢kum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍﻳْﺪﻳ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﺑ ْﻴ‬
‫ﭐﻟﺬﱠﻟﻴ ﹸ‬
who is worth nothing in comparison walmu¤`ifu f¢ `uluwwi
with your elevated esteem, qadrikum
‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﹺﺭ ﹸﻛ‬
ْ ‫ﻒ ﻓِﻲ ُﻋ ﹸﻠ ﱢﻮ ﹶﻗ‬
ُ ‫ﻀ ِﻌ‬
‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹾ‬
and who admits your right (that is
incumbent upon us)— walmu`tarifu bi¦aqqikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺤ ﱢﻘ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻑ ﹺﺑ‬
ُ ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﻌ ﹶﺘ ﹺﺮ‬
have come to you, seeking your
shelter, j¡'akum mustaj¢ran bikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺴﺘﹶﺠﻴﺮﹰﺍ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ُﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﺟَﺎ َﺀ ﹸﻛ‬
heading for your sanctuary, q¡¥idan il¡ ¦aramikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺣ َﺮ ِﻣ ﹸ‬
َ ٰ‫ﻗﹶﺎﺻِﺪﹰﺍ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰ‬
seeking nearness to Your statuses, mutaqarriban il¡ maq¡mikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻘﺮﱢﺑ ﹰﺎ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ َﻣﻘﹶﺎ ِﻣ ﹸ‬
mutawassilan il¡ all¡hi ta`¡l¡
and beseeching Allah in your names.

‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﹶﺗﻌَﺎﹶﻟﻰٰ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
‫ﺳ ًﹶ‬
‫ُﻣ ﹶﺘ َﻮ ﱢ‬
May I enter, O my masters? a'adkhulu y¡ maw¡liyya ‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ َﻣﻮَﺍِﻟﻲﱠ؟‬
‫ﺧ ﹸ‬
‫ﺍﺍ ْﺩ ﹸ‬
May I enter, O intimate servants of
Allah? a'adkhulu y¡ awliy¡'a all¡hi ‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ ﺍ ْﻭِﻟﻴَﺎ َﺀ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠﻪِ؟‬
‫ﺧ ﹸ‬
‫ﺍﺍ ْﺩ ﹸ‬

May I enter, O Allah’s angels who a'adkhulu y¡ mal¡'ikata all¡hi

‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺤﺪِﻗﻴ‬
ْ ‫ﻜ ﹶﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ‬
‫ﻼِﺋ ﹶ‬
‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ﹶ‬
‫ﺧ ﹸ‬
‫ﺍﺍ ْﺩ ﹸ‬
surround this sanctuary almu¦diq¢na bih¡dh¡ al¦arami
‫ﺤ َﺮ ﹺﻡ‬
َ ‫ﹺﺑﻬٰﺬﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
almuq¢m¢na bih¡dh¡
and reside in this shrine?
almashhadi
‫ﺸ َﻬﺪِ؟‬
‫ﻦ ﹺﺑﻬٰﺬﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﭐﹾﻟﻤُﻘﻴﻤﻴ‬
After you attain reverence, submission, and tenderheartedness, you may enter the shrine with
your right foot, and say the following:

Allah is greatly the Greatest. all¡hu akbaru kab¢ran ‫ﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﹾﻛ َﺒ ُﺮ ﻛﹶﺒﻴﺮﹰﺍ‬

All praise be to Allah abundantly. wal¦amdu lill¡hi kath¢ran ‫ﺪ ِﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﻛﹶﺜﻴﺮﹰﺍ‬
ُ ‫ﺤ ْﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ‬
wa sub¦¡na all¡hi bukratan
Glory be to Allah in morns and eves.
wa a¥¢lan ‫ﻼ‬
‫ﻜ َﺮ ﹰﺓ ﻭَﺍﺻﻴ ًﹶ‬
‫ﻥ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ُﺑ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ْﺒﺤَﺎ‬
ُ ‫َﻭ‬
All praise be to Allah, the Single, the wal¦amdu lill¡hi alfardi
Absolute, al¥¥amadi
‫ﺪ‬
ِ ‫ﺼ َﻤ‬
‫ﺪ ِﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻔ ْﺮ ِﺩ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ﺤ ْﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ‬
the Glorious, the One and Only, alm¡jidi al-a¦adi ‫ﺪ‬
ِ‫ﺣ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﭐﻻ‬
ِ‫ﺟ‬
‫ﭐﹾﻟﻤَﺎ ﹺ‬
the All-obliging, the All-benefactor, almutafa¤¤ili almann¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﻞ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤﻨﱠﺎ‬
‫ﻀ ﹺ‬
‫ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻔ ﱢ‬
the Donor, the All-compassionate, almuta§awwili al¦ann¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﺤﻨﱠﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻄ ﱢﻮ ﹺ‬
‫ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬

Who conferred (upon us) with His
bequests, alladh¢ manna bi§awlih¢ ‫ﻄ ْﻮِﻟ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ ﹶ‬
‫ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ َﻣ ﱠ‬
Who has made easy for me to visit my wa sahhala ziy¡rata s¡d¡t¢
masters out of His beneficence, bi'i¦s¡nih¢
‫ﺣﺴَﺎﹺﻧ ِﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﹺﺯﻳَﺎ َﺭ ﹶﺓ ﺳَﺎﺩَﺍﺗِﻲ ﹺﺑ ﹺﺈ‬
‫ﺳ ﱠﻬ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
Who has not included me with those wa lam yaj`aln¢ `an
who are prevented from visiting them; ziy¡ratihim mamn£`an
‫ﻢ َﻣ ْﻤﻨﹸﻮﻋ ﹰﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﹺﺯﻳَﺎ َﺭِﺗ ﹺﻬ‬
ْ ‫ﺠ َﻌ ﹾﻠﻨﹺﻲ َﻋ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ َﻳ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
rather, He has bestowed upon me and
donated me (this favor). bal ta§awwala wa mana¦a ‫ﺢ‬
َ ‫ﻝ َﻭ َﻣ ﹶﻨ‬
‫ﻄ ﱠﻮ ﹶ‬
‫ﻞ ﹶﺗ ﹶ‬
‫َﺑ ﹾ‬
You may then move toward their tombs, face them, turn the back to the kiblah direction, and
say the following:
Peace be upon you, O Leaders of true alssal¡mu `alaykum a'immata
guidance. alhud¡ ٰ‫ﺪﻯ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﺍِﺋ ﱠﻤ ﹶﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻬ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
alssal¡mu `alaykum ahla
Peace be upon you, O people of piety.
alttaqw¡ ٰ‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘ ﹾﻘ َﻮﻯ‬
‫ﻢ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬

Peace be upon you, O Arguments alssal¡mu `alaykum ayyuh¡

‫ﺞ‬
ُ ‫ﺠ‬
َ‫ﺤ‬ُ ‫ﻢ ﺍ ﱡﻳﻬَﺎ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
against the inhabitants of this world. al¦ujaju `al¡ ahli aldduny¡
‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹺ‬

Peace be upon you, O maintainers of alssal¡mu `alaykum ayyuh¡ ‫ﻢ ﺍ ﱡﻳﻬَﺎ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹸﻘﻮﱠﺍ ُﻡ ﻓِﻲ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
alquww¡mu f¢ albariyyati
justice on people.

ْ ‫ﭐﹾﻟ َﺒ ﹺﺮﱠﻳ ِﺔ ﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ ِﻘ‬
Peace be upon you, O choicest alssal¡mu `alaykum ahla
people. al¥¥afwati ‫ﺼ ﹾﻔ َﻮ ِﺓ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﻢ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O members of the alssal¡mu `alaykum ¡la ras£li
Household of Allah’s Messenger. all¡hi
‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻝ َﺭﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬
‫ﻢﺁ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O people of alssal¡mu `alaykum ahla
confidential talks (of the angels). alnnajw¡ ٰ‫ﺠ َﻮﻯ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻨ‬
‫ﻢ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
I bear witness that you did convey, ashhadu annakum qad
offer advice, ballaghtum wa na¥a¦tum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﺤ ﹸﺘ‬
ْ‫ﺼ‬‫ﻢ َﻭﹶﻧ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ َﺑ ﱠﻠ ﹾﻐ ﹸﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻗ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺪ ﺍﱠﻧ ﹸ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﺍﹾ‬
endure for the sake of Allah, wa ¥abartum f¢ dh¡ti all¡hi ‫ﺕ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ ﻓِﻲ ﺫﹶﺍ‬
ْ ‫ﺻ َﺒ ْﺮﹸﺗ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
and forgive when you were belied and wa kudhdhibtum wa us¢'a
maltreated. ilaykum faghafartum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻓ ﹶﻐ ﹶﻔ ْﺮﹸﺗ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻢ ﻭَﺍﺳﻲ َﺀ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺬْﺑ ﹸﺘ‬
‫َﻭ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬

I also bear witness that you are the wa ashhadu annakumu al- ‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﺷﺪُﻭ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ ﭐﻻِﺋ ﱠﻤ ﹸﺔ ﭐﻟﺮﱠﺍ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺪ ﺍﱠﻧ ﹸ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
a'immatu alrr¡shid£na
orthodox, well-guided Leaders,
almuhtad£na
‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﻬ ﹶﺘﺪُﻭ‬
that the obedience to you is wa anna §¡`atakum
obligatory, mafr£¤atun ‫ﺿ ﹲﺔ‬
‫ﻢ َﻣ ﹾﻔﺮُﻭ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻥ ﻃﹶﺎ َﻋ ﹶﺘ ﹸ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﱠ‬
that your words are true, wa anna qawlakumu al¥¥idqu ‫ﻕ‬
ُ‫ﺪ‬ْ‫ﺼ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱢ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻥ ﹶﻗ ْﻮﹶﻟ ﹸ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﱠ‬
that you had called (to Allah) but you wa annakum da`awtum falam
were not answered, tuj¡b£ ‫ﻢ ﹸﺗﺠَﺎﺑُﻮﭐ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ َﺩ ْﻋ َﻮﹸﺗ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻭَﺍﱠﻧ ﹸ‬

that you had enjoined (the right) but
you were not obeyed, wa amartum falam tu§¡`£ ‫ﻢ ﹸﺗﻄﹶﺎﻋُﻮﭐ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ َﻣ ْﺮﹸﺗ‬

and that you are the supports of the wa annakum da`¡'imu aldd¢ni
‫ﻥ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﻭَﺍ ْﺭﻛﹶﺎ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﻟﺪﱢﻳ ﹺ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ َﺩﻋَﺎِﺋ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻭَﺍﱠﻧ ﹸ‬
religion and the poses of the earth. wa ark¡nu al-ar¤i
‫ﺽ‬
‫ﭐﻻ ْﺭ ﹺ‬
You were always under the sight of
Allah lam taz¡l£ bi`ayni all¡hi ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶﺗﺰﹶﺍﻟﹸﻮﭐ ﹺﺑ َﻌ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻟ‬
Who moved you from the loins of yansakhukum min a¥l¡bi kulli
purified men mu§ahharin ‫ﻄ َﻬ ﹴﺮ‬
‫ﻞ ُﻣ ﱠ‬
‫ﺏ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
‫ﻼ ﹺ‬
‫ﺻﹶ‬‫ﻦﺍ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ِﻣ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺨﹸ‬‫ﺴﹸ‬
َ ‫َﻳ ﹾﻨ‬
wa yanqulukum min ar¦¡mi
to the wombs of purified women.
almu§ahhar¡ti ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﻄ ﱠﻬﺮَﺍ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍ ْﺭﺣَﺎ ﹺﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ِﻣ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫َﻭَﻳ ﹾﻨ ﹸﻘ ﹸﻠ ﹸ‬
The benighted ignorance could not lam tudanniskumu
stain you alj¡hiliyyatu aljahl¡'u
‫ﻼ ُﺀ‬
‫ﺠ ْﻬ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟﺠَﺎ ِﻫ ِﻠ ﱠﻴ ﹸﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺴﹸ‬ْ ‫ﺪﱢﻧ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﹸﺗ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻟ‬
and the whimsical sedition could not wa lam tashrak f¢kum fitanu
attract you. al-ahw¡'i ‫ﻦ ﭐﻻ ْﻫﻮَﺍ ِﺀ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ِﻓ ﹶﺘ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻙ ﻓِﻴ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺸ َﺮ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶﺗ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
Pleased be you as your origin has
been pleased. §ibtum wa §¡ba manbatukum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺏ َﻣ ﹾﻨ َﺒ ﹸﺘ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻢ َﻭﻃﹶﺎ‬
ْ ‫ِﻃ ْﺒ ﹸﺘ‬
The King of the religion has
manna bikum `alayn¡
conferred upon us with the grace of
dayy¡nu aldd¢ni
‫ﻦ‬
‫ﻥ ﭐﻟﺪﱢﻳ ﹺ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻨﹶﺎ َﺩﻳﱠﺎ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
‫َﻣ ﱠ‬
our acknowledgment of you;
He therefore caused you to be in
houses faja`alakum f¢ buy£tin ‫ﺕ‬
ٍ ‫ﻢ ﻓِﻲ ُﺑﻴُﻮ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺠ َﻌ ﹶﻠ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ‬
which He (i.e. Allah) has permitted
to be exalted adhina all¡hu an turfa`a ‫ﻊ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﹸﺗ ْﺮ ﹶﻓ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ‬
َ ‫ﺍ ِﺫ‬
and that His Name may be
mentioned therein, wa yudhkara f¢h¡ ismuh£ ‫ﺳ ُﻤ ُﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﺬ ﹶﻛ َﺮ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ ﭐ‬
‫َﻭُﻳ ﹾ‬
and He has decided our invocations
of blessings upon you wa ja`ala ¥al¡tan¡ `alaykum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼﹶﺗﻨﹶﺎ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺻﹶ‬
‫ﻞ ﹶ‬
‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
to be mercy on us and to be granting ra¦matan lan¡ wa kaff¡ratan
remission of our sins. lidhun£bin¡
‫ﺬﻧﹸﻮﹺﺑﻨﹶﺎ‬
‫ﺣ َﻤ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻟﻨﹶﺎ َﻭ ﹶﻛﻔﱠﺎ َﺭ ﹰﺓ ِﻟ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫َﺭ‬
Allah has chosen you for us idhi ikht¡rakumu all¡hu lan¡ ‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﹶﻟﻨﹶﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﺧﺘﹶﺎ َﺭ ﹸﻛ‬
‫ﹺﺇ ِﺫ ﭐ ﹾ‬
and has purified our creation through
the grace of our loyalty to your wa §ayyaba khalqan¡ bim¡ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻨﹶﺎ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺧ ﹾﻠ ﹶﻘﻨﹶﺎ ﹺﺑﻤَﺎ َﻣ ﱠ‬
‫ﺐ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ﹶﻃ ﱠﻴ‬
(Divinely commissioned) Leadership manna `alayn¡ min
with which He has conferred upon
us.
wil¡yatikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻻَﻳ ِﺘ ﹸ‬
‫ﹺﻭ ﹶ‬
We have thus become nominated
wa kunn¡ `indah£
with Him due to our
musamm¢na bi`ilmikum
‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ ِﻌ ﹾﻠ ِﻤ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺴﻤﱢﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ُﻩ ُﻣ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ﹸﻛﻨﱠﺎ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
acknowledgement of you

‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﺼﺪِﻳ ِﻘﻨﹶﺎ ﹺﺇﻳﱠﺎ ﹸﻛ‬
‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ ﹶﺘ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ُﻣ ْﻌ ﹶﺘ ﹺﺮﻓِﻴ‬
So, this is the situation of him who wa h¡dh¡ maq¡mu man
has committed mistakes and sins, asrafa wa akh§a'a ‫ﺧﻄﹶﺎ‬
‫ﻑ ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺳ َﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﻦﺍ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ َﻣﻘﹶﺎ ُﻡ َﻣ‬
shown submission (to you), and wastak¡na wa aqarra bim¡
confessed of what he had committed. jan¡ ٰ‫ﺟ ﹶﻨﻰ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﻭَﺍ ﹶﻗ ﱠﺮ ﹺﺑﻤَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﹶﺘﻜﹶﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﭐ‬

Hence, being in this situation, I hope
for redemption wa raj¡ bimaq¡mih¢ alkhal¡¥a ‫ﺹ‬
‫ﻼ ﹶ‬
‫ﺨﹶ‬‫َﻭ َﺭﺟَﺎ ﹺﺑ َﻤﻘﹶﺎ ِﻣ ِﻪ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
and I hope that the Savior of the ‫ﺬ‬
‫ﺴ ﹶﺘ ﹾﻨ ِﻘ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ُﻣ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺬ ُﻩ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴ ﹶﺘ ﹾﻨ ِﻘ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ َﻳ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ‬
perishing ones from perdition may wa an yastanqidhah£ bikum
save me in your names.
ٰ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ َﺩﻯ‬
َ ‫ﻜﻰٰ ِﻣ‬
‫ﭐﹾﻟ َﻬ ﹾﻠ ﹶ‬
mustanqidhu alhalk¡ min
So, (please) be my interceders,
alrrad¡
‫ﺷ ﹶﻔﻌَﺎ َﺀ‬
‫ﹶﻓﻜﹸﻮﻧﹸﻮﭐ ﻟِﻲ ﹸ‬
for I have come to you fak£n£ l¢ shufa`¡'a ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺕ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺪ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ َﻭ ﹶﻓ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻘ‬
when the people of this world
abandoned you, faqad wafadtu ilaykum ‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫ﻢ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹸ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺐ َﻋ ﹾﻨ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﹺﺇ ﹾﺫ َﺭ ِﻏ‬
idh raghiba `ankum ahlu
took the Signs of Allah for a jest,
aldduny¡
‫ﺕ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ُﻫﺰﹸﻭﹰﺍ‬
ِ ‫ﺨﺬﹸﻭﭐ ﺁﻳَﺎ‬
‫ﻭَﭐﱠﺗ ﹶ‬
and turned away from them wattakhadh£ ¡y¡ti all¡hi
haughtily. huzwan
‫ﻜ َﺒﺮُﻭﭐ َﻋ ﹾﻨﻬَﺎ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﭐ‬
You may then raise your head toward the sky and say the following:
O He Who is Self-Subsisting and never y¡ man huwa q¡'imun l¡
forgets, yash£
‫ﺴﻬُﻮ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ َﻳ‬
‫ﻢ َﹶ‬
ٌ ‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ ﻗﹶﺎِﺋ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
Who is Ever-living and never becomes
heedless, wa d¡'imun l¡ yalh£ ‫ﻻ َﻳ ﹾﻠﻬُﻮ‬
‫ﻢ َﹶ‬
ٌ ‫َﻭﺩَﺍِﺋ‬
and Who encompasses all things! wa mu¦¢§un bikulli shay'in ‫ﻲ ٍﺀ‬
ْ ‫ﺷ‬
‫ﻞ ﹶ‬
‫ﻜ ﱢ‬
‫ﻂ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
‫َﻭﻣُﺤﻴ ﹲ‬
To You is all gratitude for that You
have guided me (to this) laka almannu bim¡ waffaqtan¢ ‫ﻦ ﹺﺑﻤَﺎ َﻭ ﱠﻓ ﹾﻘ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ‬
‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻟ‬
and You have introduced to me that on wa `arraftan¢ bim¡ aqamtan¢
which I rest, `alayhi ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﱠﺮ ﹾﻓ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑﻤَﺎ ﺍ ﹶﻗ ْﻤ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬
when Your servants diverted from it, idh ¥adda `anhu `ib¡duka ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ ِﻋﺒَﺎ ُﺩ‬
‫ﺻﱠ‬
‫ﹺﺇ ﹾﺫ ﹶ‬
ignored the recognition of it, wa jahil£ ma`rifatah£ ‫ﺟ ﹺﻬﻠﹸﻮﭐ َﻣ ْﻌ ﹺﺮ ﹶﻓ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
belittled its right, wastakhaff£ bi¦aqqih¢ ‫ﺤ ﱢﻘ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﺨﻔﱡﻮﭐ ﹺﺑ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﭐ‬
and inclined to elsewhere. wa m¡l£ il¡ siw¡hu ‫ﺳﻮَﺍ ُﻩ‬
ِ ٰ‫َﻭﻣَﺎﻟﹸﻮﭐ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰ‬
Hence, You have conferred upon me fak¡nat alminnatu minka
with this favor `alayya
‫ﻲ‬
‫ﻚ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻤ ﱠﻨ ﹸﺔ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ‬
ِ ‫ﹶﻓﻜﹶﺎﹶﻧ‬

as well as upon other people whom You ma`a aqw¡min kha¥a¥tahum

‫ﻢ ﹺﺑﻤَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﺼ ﹶﺘ ُﻬ‬
‫ﺼ ﹾ‬
‫ﺧ ﹶ‬
‫ﻊ ﺍ ﹾﻗﻮَﺍ ﹴﻡ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻣ‬
have granted exclusively the same. bim¡ kha¥a¥tan¢ bih¢
‫ﺼ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺼ ﹾ‬
‫ﺧ ﹶ‬
‫ﹶ‬
falaka al¦amdu idh kuntu
So, all praise be to You, for I have been
`indaka
‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﺪ ﹺﺇ ﹾﺫ ﹸﻛ ﹾﻨ ﹸ‬
ُ ‫ﺤ ْﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ‬
mentioned and written with You due to f¢ maq¡m¢ h¡dh¡ madhk£ran
‫ﺬﻛﹸﻮﺭﹰﺍ‬
‫ﻓِﻲ َﻣﻘﹶﺎﻣِﻲ ﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ َﻣ ﹾ‬
the situation in which I am now. makt£ban
‫ﻜﺘﹸﻮﺑ ﹰﺎ‬
‫َﻣ ﹾ‬

Hence, (please) do not deprive me of
what I long for, fal¡ ta¦rimn¢ m¡ rajawtu ‫ﺕ‬
‫ﺟ ْﻮ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺤ ﹺﺮ ْﻣﻨﹺﻲ ﻣَﺎ َﺭ‬
ْ ‫ﻼ ﹶﺗ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹶ‬
and do not disappoint me as regards wa l¡ tukhayyibn¢ f¢ m¡
my supplication; da`awtu
‫ﺕ‬
‫ﺨ ﱢﻴ ْﺒﻨﹺﻲ ﻓِﻲ ﻣَﺎ َﺩ َﻋ ْﻮ ﹸ‬
‫ﻻ ﹸﺗ ﹶ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
(please do so) in the name of the
bi¦urmati mu¦ammadin wa
sanctity of Mu¦ammad and his
¡lih¢ al§§¡hir¢na
‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ ﭐﻟﻄﱠﺎ ِﻫﺮﹺﻳ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺤ ْﺮ َﻣ ِﺔ ُﻣ‬
ُ ‫ﹺﺑ‬
immaculate Household.

May Allah send blessings upon wa ¥all¡ all¡hu `al¡ ‫ﻝ‬

‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
Mu¦ammad and the Household of mu¦ammadin wa ¡li
Mu¦ammad. mu¦ammadin ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ُﻣ‬
You may now pray Almighty Allah for anything you want.
In Tahdh¢b al-A¦k¡m, Shaykh al-±£s¢ says: You may then offer the Ziy¡rah Prayer (¥al¡t al-
ziy¡rah) in eight units; each two units are for one of the (four) Imams.
Shaykh al-±£s¢ and Sayyid Ibn ±¡w£s say that if you want to bid farewell to the four Imams,
you may say the following:

‫ﻢ ﺍِﺋ ﱠﻤ ﹶﺔ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace and Allah’s mercy and alssal¡mu `alaykum a'immata
blessings be upon you, O
leaders to the true guidance.
alhud¡ wa ra¦matu all¡hi wa
barak¡tuh£
‫ﺣ َﻤ ﹸﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﺪﻯٰ َﻭ َﺭ‬
َ ‫ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻬ‬
‫َﻭَﺑ َﺮﻛﹶﺎﹸﺗ ُﻪ‬

I entrust you with Allah ( [1] ) astawdi`ukumu all¡ha wa

‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ ﻭَﺍ ﹾﻗﺮَﺍ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ْﻮ ِﺩ ُﻋ ﹸ‬
ْ‫ﺍ‬
and send salutations to you. aqra'u `alaykumu alssal¡ma
‫ﻼ َﻡ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬
‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
We believe in Allah and in
the Messenger ¡mann¡ bill¡hi wa bilrras£li ‫ﻝ‬
‫ﺁ َﻣﻨﱠﺎ ﺑﹺﭑﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻭﺑﹺﭑﻟ ﱠﺮﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬
and in that which you have
wa bim¡ ji'tum bih¢ wa
‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ َﻭ َﺩﹶﻟ ﹾﻠ ﹸﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﺟ ﹾﺌ ﹸﺘ‬
‫َﻭﹺﺑﻤَﺎ ﹺ‬
conveyed and that to which
dalaltum `alayhi
you have guided. ‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬
O Allah, then write us down
all¡humma faktubn¡ ma`a
‫ﻊ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﻓﹶﭑ ﹾﻛ ﹸﺘ ْﺒﻨﹶﺎ َﻣ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
among those who bear
alshsh¡hid¢na
witness. ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﭐﻟﺸﱠﺎ ِﻫﺪِﻳ‬
