Noel Azcona

Baritone

Noel Azcona is a member of the internationally acclaimed UST Singers. A native of Iloilo
City, he conducted major choral works of Charles Gounod’s “Messe Solenelle” and
Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” and “Requiem” under the production of the Iloilo Arts
Council. He was featured soloist of the 28th and the 31st Las Piñas International
Bamboo Organ Festival. He was also one of the soloists of the Philippine Philharmonic
Orchestra and Ballet Philippines in the CCP’s 2003 Production. He made his international
operatic debut in Japan in a supporting role of Fr. Manuel Maramba’s “Lord Takayama
Ukon” and later was performed in Manila with him in the title role. In August 2003, he
was invited to sing in Singapore as part of the chorus by Maestro Lim Yau performing
an oratorio by Richard Einhorn entitled “Voices of Light”. He also collaborated with
Filipino international artists and travelled with UST Singers in 6 World Concert Tours.
Currently, he is the assistant music director of the UST Singers.
