When we first started designing BMX products back in the early 1990’s we didn’t quite
know what technique would be the best, most productive, or cost effective. We just knew
we wanted to change the way that BMX bikes were being made and that was enough to
drive us forward.

Over the years we realized we wanted to start achieving big things, one was to combat
the problem of weakness within tubing, improve welding and take BMX a step forward
in engineering innovations. We wanted to build bikes that could last and be ridden with a
sense of satisfaction. We wanted that experience to last.

Our experience today is vast and this helps us to figure out problems quicker and be
weary of fads or phases. We feel it’s important to struggle and strive to reach your goals
and those early years are a constant reminder to our dedication in the BMX industry.
When we design a bike frame, a fork or a part we design it from scratch, with integrity
and belief in originality and class. We couldn’t have quite done what we do now all those
years ago, but then that’s all part of the process of evolution and invention.

There’s nothing worse in life than not understanding something, because knowledge is
power and knowledge must be earned though struggle, taking risks and trusting your gut.
WETHEPEOPLE is all about that, its about taking a leap forward and designing bikes that
want to be ridden every single day through and through.

One thing we successfully achieved was to give every rider the best chances and
opportunities to ride to the best of their abilities whatever age or size they are. That’s why
we put as much time and effort into the Seed 16” as we did into our other complete bikes.

This year we’ve catapulted the Seed into a whole new realm of kid’s bikes; by focusing
directly on our creation of BMX parts specifically designed for the smaller rider. Unlike other
brands who use 20” ‘hand me downs’ we took the time to design and engineer smaller parts
without compromising any strength issues.

The Seed is not your average ‘kids’ bike you know, It comes with the suitable 25t/10t
gearing, SALT junior nylon/fiberglass pedals and quite customarily we think, a SALT ‘kid’
sized brake lever. We added a 3/8” rear axle, and single walled 32 holed rims as well.
You’ll also notice the Seed comes with an integrated headset, a full bearing cassette hub,
a unique 16” tire called the Strike, a short offset stem, and our new 2013 ‘Arrow’ grips.

We have always been into the idea of pushing diversity within our complete bike range,

Designing the Arcade 18” was a really fun process for us, we really wanted to develop
a bike that didn’t just fit the stereo type of a scaled down 20” bike but instead to create
a BMX that was a step up on the way to a 20”. Subsequently, the Arcade was born and
deliberately intended for that type of rider.

The Arcade 18” comes with a CRMO down tube for complete frame strength and reduced
weight. It also has a Pro 25t/9t gearing, sealed cassette hub, sealed integrated headset,
sealed Spanish BB, SALT ‘Junior’ top loader stem with 40mm reach and ÉCLAT ‘Surge’
nylon/fiberglass pedals. Lets not forget the WETHEPEOPLE custom ‘Arcade’ pivotal seat, 4130 CRMO DOWNTUBE

Progression is something no one can stop, it’s the most exciting and natural feeling you
can get from learning to ride a BMX. Most of you progress to an expert level in no time
but it’s in that period where the bike you ride becomes so vital to your advancement.
Let’s face it if you don’t have total confidence in your bike then you can’t push yourself
to go that little bit higher or that little bit further. The Justice is one of WETHEPEOPLE’s
legendary complete bikes, famous for its distinguishing, serious looks and up-to-the-
minute geometry.

This year we took satisfaction in modifying the Justice slightly, it’s hard to change some-
thing we think is pretty perfect. We kept the tapered top tube and 4130 crmo down tube
and only fine-tuned the geometry a little, just to enhance the feel of it. The Justice is as
fearsome as the cobra it epitomises, right down to the snakeskin textured pivotal seat
and brand new ‘Arrow’ grips. It comes with new SALTPLUS ‘Forum’ pedals, which are slim
and have a wider surface area.

We are also proud to introduce a new kind of hub, a loose ball system with female bolts, a
first of its kind on any complete bike. The brand new ‘Contour’ tire on the front flawlessly
wraps itself around a SALT ‘Valon’ aero rim to really bring together one hell of a package.

There has always been a strong affiliation with New York City and WETHEPEOPLE,
it’s hard to say exactly what brings us back time after time, or what makes us fall in love
with every part of its divergent boroughs.

Our connection with the East coast of America started a long time ago, back in the early
days of WETHEPEOPLE. We would visit there occasionally and send our own riders to hang
out there for months on end, we started sponsoring and flowing riders who eventually
made their presence known on the PRO team. We’ve never seen WETHEPEOPLE as a
strictly native brand; it’s too hard to corner yourself in when the rest of the world is so
exciting.

So what is it about this tight knit city, this colossal and humming place that keeps
us so positive? Maybe it’s the charming relationship it holds with design and
architecture, or the raw talent that emerges from such a hive of succession. New York
is certainly a hardworking and domineering city, a place that produces an abundance
of interesting individuals and people that strive to be different.I guess then, that the
answer is right there. It’s a place that somehow reflects what we are trying to achieve
with WETHEPEOPLE and developing BMX further.

The art of frame building is something we take very seriously, from the moment we first
touch pen to paper in our offices we are dedicated to the project in hand. The Crysis was
one of those projects where we poured our heart and soul into it; the elaborate finish to
the green chrome is a defining part of our imaginative legacy as a bike brand.

dark side and a wonderfully charming teal side that replaces last years glossy number

side but eventually they just clicked into place.

WETHEPEOPLE has been around for over 15 years and running strong. We’ve developed
into a model BMX Company with innovative technology and design that so many others
have followed one or two years behind. We strive for new ways to strengthen our frames,
completes and after market parts. We live for color and graphic design, and you can
relax knowing that your bike is going to hold up to the abuse you throw at it. You know

That’s exactly what we’ve been doing since the early days. Everyone involved with

For me I take a lot of pride in watching young riders take their first few pedals on a

If there’s one thing we know well, it’s that a BMX should be able to live up to the
progressive abilities of its owner. When riding hits that next level you are going to need
a sturdy piece of kit under your feet. The Trust is fast becoming a complete bike with
legendary status, and this year we’ve taken things up a notch again.

The full 4130 crmo frame incorporates tapered, butted tubing, integrated chain tensioner
and this year we decorated them both in deep blue and black. The full 4130 crmo bars
come draped with the new ‘Raptor’ grips, a SALTPLUS ‘Geo’ hinged alloy brake lever and
the SALTPLUS ‘Delta’ CNC alloy front loader holds it tight. We don’t believe in stocking up
our completes with tasteless products, instead we lined the Trust with a pair of ÉCLAT
‘Trippin’ rims, a thick ‘Trust’ pivotal seat and a ‘Supreme’ full CNC 6061 T6 alloy seat
clamp to further enrich our idea of a perfect complete bike. When your level of riding

LISBON
Lisbon, in case you didn’t know is the capital city of Portugal, it’s a global city,
immersed in media, culture and abundant with financial sectors all waiting to be ridden
in glorious temperatures. Lisbon is also a city with many hills; in fact Lisbon it’s fair to
say is one enormous hill with a hundred other hills inside.
WETHEPEOPLE riders Pete Sawyer and Mike Curley took off in search of new
grounds; new spots and a welcomed break from the atrocious U.K. weather. When
they arrived in Lisbon from the thunder and rain of Liverpool they were greeted with
magnificent rays of sunshine, cheap beers and a whole new landscape to go explore.
The first problem was that they had forgotten where they were staying and more
importantly how to get there. After a long time searching and making calls they took
a taxi to the middle of nowhere to a place they could call home for the next 6 days.

The spots were hard to find, recalled Pete “most of the places took hours to get to
and the hills were hard to deal with without a van”. Nevertheless they trekked on,
sometimes even stumbling upon places and spots. The trip was certainly one to
remember, a solid week of beautiful weather, searching for spots and taking in the scenery.
WETHEPEOPLE is not just metals and geometrics, it’s a lifestyle that’s become almost
subconscious, we live and breath BMX and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Riding
a BMX is one of the best ways to meet people you would never dream of, to search the
world and to broaden the mind that little bit further. It’s that ethos that drives us to form
a brand built on friendship and community.

It’s hard to resist change, change can be exciting but sometimes you have to accept that
its not warranted. The Volta was about as dialed as it was ever going to get so we worked
on fine-tuning and modifying fragments of it to make it far more electrifying. The Volta is
by far one of our most breathtaking complete bikes and it continues to challenge the very
impression and concept of a complete bike.

The geometry stays as it is with a 13.5” back end; 75° head angle and 8.75” stand over
height making an all around perfect ride.  The frame is full 4130 Sanko tubing, with a
heat-treated head tube, BB and dropouts.  The down tube still shows off a super tech
hydro-formed gusset, making for an incredibly strong front end. Adding further strength
to the front and is the SALTPLUS ‘Mesa’ flash-welded alloy rim.

With a great stack of ÉCLAT’s finest componentry including the ‘Oz’ seat, ‘Unit’ U-brake,
‘Sniper’ one-finger lever, ‘Control’ (front) and ‘Escape’ (rear) tires, the Volta is without
doubt the best it’s ever been.
