Chief Ministers & Governors List 2019 (Updated)

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has been transferred and appointed as Governor of
Goa. Former IAS officers Girish Chandra Murmu and Radha Krishna Mathur will take his place as
Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. respectively. The two Union Territories
came to existence on October 31.

❖ Pavan Kapoor, a 1990 batch Indian Foreign Service officer took charge as the new
Ambassador to UAE. Ambassador Pavan Kapoor replaced Navdeep Singh Suri. 1990
बैच के भारतीय विदे श सेिा के अविकारी पिन कपूर ने UAE में नए राजदू त के रूप में
पदभार संभाला। निदीप वसंह सूरी की जगह राजदू त पिन कपूर ने ले ली।

❖ Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan released the 14th National Health Profile (NHP),
2019 and its e-book in New Delhi. स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. हर्षििषन ने 14 िी ं राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य
प्रोफाइल (NHP), 2019 और नई वदल्ली में इसकी ई-पुस्तक का विमोचन वकया।
❖ The 28th Vyas Samman for the year 2018 was conferred on well known Hindi writer
Leeladhar Jagoori at a function in New Delhi. िर्ष 2018 के वलए 28 िें व्यास सम्मान से नई

❖ The 35th ASEAN Summit began in Bangkok. The summit will continue till November 4.
Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan -O-Cha inaugurated this summit at IMPACT
convention complex. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a group of
ten member countries that encourages political,economic and social co-operation in
the region. 35 िां आवसयान वशखर सम्मेलन बैंकाक में शुरू हुआ। वशखर सम्मेलन 4 निंबर

❖ The 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2019 was inaugurated by
Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of
Sharjah. Nearly 1800 exhibitors from 77 countries are participating in the Fair. The fair
will showcase 987 activities presenting scientific, knowledge and literary themes.
शारजाह इं टरनेशनल बुक फेयर (SIBF) 2019 के 38 िें संस्करण का उद् घाटन शेख डॉ.
सुल्तान वबन मुहम्मद अल कावसमी, सिोच्च पररर्द के सदस्य और शारजाह के शासक ने
वकया। मेले में 77 दे शों के लगभग 1800 प्रदशषक भाग ले रहे हैं। मेला िैज्ञावनक, ज्ञान और

❖ In Lebanon, Prime Minister Saad Hariri has announced his resignation due to massive
anti-government protests over political corruption and economic turmoil. लेबनान में,
प्रिान मंत्री साद हरीरी ने राजनीवतक भ्रष्ट्ाचार और आवथषक उथल-पुथल पर सरकार के बडे
विरोि के कारण अपने इस्तीफे की घोर्णा की है।
❖ The second edition of the annual joint military exercise, named as Dharma Guardian
between Indian and Japanese Army concluded in Mizoram. The primary focus of this
joint military exercise was to train and equip the contingents in counter-insurgency
and counter-terrorism operations in mountainous terrain. भारतीय और जापानी सेना के
बीच िमष संरक्षक के रूप में नावमत िावर्षक संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास का दू सरा संस्करण
वमजोरम में संपन्न हुआ। इस संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास का प्राथवमक फोकस पिषतीय इलाकों में
आतंकिाद विरोिी और आतंकिाद विरोिी अवभयानों को प्रवशवक्षत और लैस करना था।

❖ Four-day long event Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Parv 2019 inaugurated in New Delhi.
The event is being organized by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, KVS. चार वदिसीय
लंबे कायषक्रम एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत पिष 2019 का उद् घाटन नई वदल्ली में हुआ। कायषक्रम
केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन, केिीएस द्वारा आयोवजत वकया जा रहा है।
❖ President Ram Nath Kovind has launched endowment fund of IIT Delhi. राष्ट्रपवत राम
नाथ कोविंद ने IIT वदल्ली के िमषस्व फंड लॉन्च वकया है।
❖ Two new countries Eritrea and Saint Kittis and Nevis have signed the International
Solar Alliance's (ISA) Framework Agreement at its second Assembly held in New Delhi.
With this 83 countries have so far signed the ISA framework agreement. दो नए दे शों
इरीवटर या और सेंट वकवटस और नेविस ने नई वदल्ली में आयोवजत अपनी दू सरी वििानसभा में
अंतराषष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंिन (आईएसए) फ्रेमिकष समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर वकए हैं। इसके साथ 83

Democrat-led impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. अमेररकी

को औपचाररक रूप से आगे बढाने का प्रस्ताि पाररत वकया है।
❖ Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh RK Mathur launched new Ladakh website. The new
dynamic website is prepared with all new features. लद्दाख के लेत्यिनेंट गिनषर आरके
माथुर ने लद्दाख की नई िेबसाइट लॉन्च की। नई गवतशील िेबसाइट सभी नई सुवििाओं के
साथ तैयार की गई है।
❖ Arunachal Pradesh is hosting the Multilingual Writers’ Meet at its oldest town
Pasighat in East Siang District from 2nd November 2019. The two-day event is being
held at the auditorium of the College of Horticulture and Forestry. अरुणाचल प्रदे श 2
निंबर 2019 से पूिी वसयांग वजले के सबसे पुराने शहर पासीघाट में बहुभार्ी लेखकों की

❖ The third edition of the Guwahati International Film Festival (GIFF) started off on 31st
October 2019 with a platter of 100 movies from 625countries. गुिाहाटी इं टरनेशनल
वफल्म फेत्यस्टिल (जीआईएफएफ) के तीसरे संस्करण की शुरुआत 31 अक्टू बर 2019 को 625
वफल्मों की 100 वफल्मों के साथ हुई।
❖ The US has formally notified the UN of its withdrawal from the 2015 Paris climate
accord, a landmark global agreement which brought together 188 nations, including
India, to combat global warming. अमेररका ने औपचाररक रूप से संयुक्त राष्ट्र को 2015 के
पेररस जलिायु समझौते से हटने की जानकारी प्रदान कर दी है। पेररस जलिायु समझौता
भारत सवहत 188 राष्ट्रों को ग्लोबल िावमिंग का मुकाबला करने के वलए एक साथ लाया था।
❖ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 5th India International Science
Festival, IISF on 5th November. The theme for this year’s festival is RISEN India -

❖ Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar released the fifth edition of Wastelands
Atlas - 2019. The Atlas, published jointly by Department of Land Resources and
National Remote Sensing Centre, provides robust geospatial information on
wasteland. कृवर् मंत्री नरें द्र वसंह तोमर ने िेस्टलैंड्स एटलस - 2019 के पांचिें संस्करण का
विमोचन वकया। भूवम संसािन विभाग और नेशनल ररमोट सेंवसंग सेंटर द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से
प्रकावशत एटलस, बंजर भूवम पर मजबूत भू-स्थावनक जानकारी प्रदान करता है।
❖ Union Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Information &
Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar arrived in Dhaka on a two day visit to attend the 15th
meeting of the Governing Council of South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme
(SACEP). केंद्रीय पयाषिरण, िन और जलिायु पररितषन और सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री प्रकाश
जािडे कर दवक्षण एवशया सहकारी पयाषिरण कायषक्रम (एसएसीईपी) की गिवनिंग काउं वसल

❖ Nepal's President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed new governors in all seven
provinces of the country. नेपाल की राष्ट्रपवत वबद्या दे िी भंडारी ने दे श के सभी सात प्रांतों में
नए राज्यपाल वनयुक्त वकए हैं।

❖ The 9th round of India Bangladesh Friendship dialogue concluded in Cox's Bazar with a
call to build a strategic space between the two countries based on learning and
experience of the past and expectations and aspirations for the future. It also
appealed for greater collaboration between North-Eastern states of India and
Bangladesh to enhance bilateral trade. भारत बांग्लादे श मैत्री िाताष का 9िां दौर कॉक्स
बाजार में बीते वदनों के अनुभिों और अनुभिों और भविष्य की आकांक्षाओं के आिार पर

❖ The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a fine of Rs 1 crore on Pune-based Janata
Sahakari Bank and Rs 25 lakh on Jalgaon Peoples Co-operative Bank for violating
income recognition, advances management and asset classification norms. भारतीय
ररज़िष बैंक (RBI) ने पुणे त्यस्थत जनता सहकारी बैंक पर 1 करोड रुपये और आय मान्यता,
अविम प्रबंिन और पररसंपवत्त िगीकरण मानदं डों के उल्लंघन के वलए जलगााँि पीपुल्स को-
ऑपरे वटि बैंक पर 25 लाख रुपये का जुमाषना लगाया है।
❖ The Reserve Bank has imposed a penalty of Rs 35 lakh on Tamilnad Mercantile Bank
for violating norms on frauds classification and notification. ररजिष बैंक ने िोखािडी
और िगीकरण के मानदं डों का उल्लंघन करने के वलए तवमलनाडु मकेंटाइल बैंक पर 35
लाख रुपये का जुमाषना लगाया है।
❖ Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled two new IT Initiatives - ICEDASH and
ATITHI for improved monitoring and pace of customs clearance of imported goods and
facilitating arriving international passengers. वित्त मंत्री वनमषला सीतारमण ने आयावतत
माल की सीमा शुल्क वनकासी की बेहतर वनगरानी और अंतराषष्ट्रीय यावत्रयों को सुवििा प्रदान
के वलए दो नए आईटी पहल - ICEDASH और ATITHI का अनािरण वकया।
❖ The 15-day Aadi Mahotsav, National Tribal festival will be held in New Delhi from 16th
November 2019. The theme of the festival is a celebration of the spirit of tribal
culture, craft, cuisine and commerce. More than one thousand tribal artisans from 27
states will participate in the event. 15 वदिसीय आदी महोत्सि, राष्ट्रीय जनजातीय उत्सि

16 निंबर 2019 से नई वदल्ली में आयोवजत वकया जाएगा। िोहार का विर्य आवदिासी
संस्कृवत, वशल्प, व्यंजन और िावणज्य की भािना है। 27 राज्यों के एक हजार से अविक
आवदिासी कारीगर इस आयोजन में भाग लेंगे।
❖ Indian Army is holding the first Army Recruitment Rally in Jammu and Kashmir after
the creation of the Union Territory. The ten-day Recruitment Rally through Army
Recruitment Office, Jammu, commenced at Samba and will continue till 12th of
November. भारतीय सेना केंद्र शावसत प्रदे श के वनमाषण के बाद जम्मू और कश्मीर में पहली
सेना भती रै ली आयोवजत कर रही है। सेना भती कायाषलय, जम्मू के माध्यम से दस वदिसीय
भती रै ली, सांबा में शुरू हुई और 12 निंबर तक जारी रहेगी।
❖ The first-ever India-Uzbekistan joint military exercise - Dustlik-2019 began from 4th
November 2019 at Chirchiq Training Area near Tashkent. The exercise will be focused
on counter-terrorism and will continue till November 13. During the exercise, an
Indian Army contingent will train along with Uzbekistan Army. पहली बार भारत-
उज्बेवकस्तान संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास - दस्तवलक-2019 4 निंबर 2019 से ताशकंद के पास
वचरवचक प्रवशक्षण क्षेत्र में शुरू हुआ। अभ्यास आतंकिाद-रोिी गवतविवियों पर केंवद्रत होगा
और 13 निंबर तक जारी रहेगा। अभ्यास के दौरान, भारतीय सेना का एक दल उज्बेवकस्तान
सेना के साथ प्रवशक्षण करे गा।
❖ India's National Academy of Letters, Sahitya Akademi has published an anthology

called 'Modern English Poetry by Younger Indians' to mark 200 years of Indian English
poetry. Edited by poet Sudeep Sen, the book contains pieces of poetry by poets
who're in their 40s or less. भारत के राष्ट्रीय सावहि अकादमी- सावहि अकादमी ने
भारतीय अंिेजी कविता के 200 िर्ों को वचवित करने के वलए 'मॉडनष इं त्यग्लश पोएटर ी बी यंगर
इं वडयंस' नामक एक संकलन प्रकावशत वकया है। कवि सुदीप सेन द्वारा संपावदत, इस पुस्तक
में 40 या उससे कम उम्र के कवियों द्वारा रवचत कविताये ाँ हैं।
❖ Film actor Rajinikanth will be honoured with the Icon of Golden Jubilee award at the
Golden Jubilee edition of International Film Festival of India, to be held in Goa from

❖ The Reserve Bank has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on prepaid payment instrument
Oxigen Services. The move was taken in exercise of powers vested under Section 30 of

the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, for non-compliance of regulatory
guidelines. Oxigen Services facilitates payment processing and money transfer
