Safe means of access to height to be determined.

En 131 Professional or Class 1 ladders must be used.
Any ladder longer than 3000 mm will require use of a base stabilizer. Splitting
extending ladders will render the upper sections as non-compliant if used without a
stabilizer
Work at height Ladders may be used for work of short duration. Ladders must be positioned and 4 3 12
secured to prevent slipping. An assistant may be required to foot the ladder and pass
materials.
A MEWP (Scissor Lift or Cherry Picker) will be used , operated by a competent
person holding relevant certification. Checks to be carried out by operator to ensure
stable level ground clear of manholes, cellars etc.

Personnel will wear suitable safety footwear to prevent slipping. All waste and debris

equipment prior to use. Any faults will require the equipment to be withdrawn from
service for repair or replacement.

All power tools will be limited to 110 volt for use on site, or will be battery powered
where possible. All will be inspected and PAT tested with current certification
available.

All personnel are deemed competent to carry out works requested of them. All tools

replacement if found faulty.

Access to height machines will be operated by competent persons holding relevant

MEWP operation certification. The machine will be immobilized when not in use. The ignition key will 1 1 1
