When replacing solenoids of the previous design
both the Lock up and Pressure Control Solenoids
must be replaced together
The vehicle must also be returned to the dealer
to have the ECU reprogrammed.

This is necessary because the pulse width modulation

frequency is different on the later design.

Approximate Dates of the changeover to the new design are

Peugeot & Citroen from 09/2003
Renault Megane 09/2003 & Laguna 01/2004
All other Renault Models from 03/2004
