A. It can help the business grows by promoting it to the public about the new
product (Promotion of sales)
B. It gives information to the public how to use the product in a proper way
(Educate public about product)

well known and it’s benefits to the consumers (Introduction of new product)
D. It gives opportunity of the business owner to highlight the good features or
the benefits of the product to the public in order to survive (Overcome competition)
E. It attracts more consumers to buy the products, in exchange there will be a
large mass production (Mass production)

2. Identify three (3) advantages and three (3) disadvantages of the following
forms of media in terms of advertising usage:

A. Print Media (Newspaper, Magazines, Pamphlets, etc.)

Advantages:
1. Print media has long enjoyed credibility
2. You can choose the size of the advertisement space. This will help you
to plan the budget of the exact expenses to be incurred while
advertising.
3. Both media outlets―magazines and newspapers―have a loyal
readership. This can be very useful for advertisers as compared to
gaining loyal customers or advertising on the Internet.
Disadvantages:
1. The shelf-life of any particular print medium is limited. Newspapers, for
example, are among the public eye only for a day.
2. The cost incurred can sometimes be expensive considering the
medium you choose.
3. There is a limitation in terms of the kind of people who may actually
read your message. The particular newspaper may not actually be
accessible every time to your target group, which means, your
message may be missed!
B. Radio
Advantages:
1. Easy to reach the local audience.
2. Helpful to spread the message to the mass.
3. It is very impactful.
Disadvantages:
1. The Radio message is short and people easily forget it.
2. Estimation of the audience is difficult.
3. There is less research information.

C. Television
Advantages:
1. TV reaches a much larger audience than local newspapers and radio
stations, and it does so during a short period of time.
2. It allows you to convey your message with sight, sound, and motion,
which can give your business, product, or service instant credibility.
3. It gives you an opportunity to be creative and attach a personality to
your business, which can be particularly effective for small businesses
that rely on repeat customers.
Disadvantages:
1. Television advertising isn’t cheap.
2. It requires repetition to be effective.
3. There is no guarantee that the advertising will be viewed.
D. Social Media
Advantages:
1. You will reach large audiences
2. You have a direct connection with your audience
3. You build your own brand
Disadvantages:
1. You can receive negative feedback.
2. You open up the potential for embarrassment.
3. You have to wait to see results.

3. Name your top ten (10) best commercials of all time and briefly explain why
such is your favorite.
