1. Abstract (100 Words):
In recent years farmers have become very conscious about the growth
happening with respect to the important role i.e. Precision Agriculture (PA).
To fulfill the needs exist related to the crops the farmers have to develop the
efficient and sustainable agriculture practices. With the increasing demand of
the products the need is also increasing but to meet the requirement of the
quantity the quality cannot be degraded. So to continue the habit of efficient
farming so as to produce the yields in a better way, it is necessary to separate
the weeds from the crops. The Artificial Intelligence techniques will help to
identify the weeds from the crops by capturing a series of continuous images
segregating them from actual crops. This combination produces a system that
achieves very good results under a wide variety of conditions. These two
processes help us to identify weeds during sowing errors and also abrupt
camera movements. To cut weeds we are using the Raspberry pi real time
robot.

2. Objectives (Max. 05):

● Enhancing advantage of AI and robotic techniques in agricultural field.
● Reducing burden work of removing of weeds using human resource
and thus creating more efficient and a fast way.
● Product for removing weeds without degrading desirable qualities of
land.
● It will restrict the use of harmful weedicides and ensures healthy
growth of crops.

5. Methodology:
Methodology description:
● When the machine is starts to carry out the weed removal process, first it
captures an image of small part of the field which is called as the target area.
The target area will have mainly three component soil, crop and/or weed.
● Next the captured image is processed so as to distinguish crop and weed in
the farm. For the image processing (RBG technique) is used.
● The key understanding in RGB technique is that it is a composite of three
grayscale independent images that corresponds to intensity of green, red and
blue.
● The steps involved are:
▪ Reading of the input image
▪ Generating red, green and blue color bands of the image.
▪ Conversion of RGB image into grayscale and then to binary image
using thresholding process.
▪ Recognizing the boundaries of an object.
▪ Bounding box of colored objects.
● Hence we have weed distinguished from rest of crops in the farm.
● Then we are using raspberry pi based robot for the machine arm movements ,
weed holding operation, removal process of weed and for its movements in
surrounding.
6. Industry collaboration: Yes

7. Product Oriented: Yes

If Yes,
● Market Survey (50 Words)
▪ India loses agriculture produce worth several hundred crores of rupees every
year to weeds.
▪ While removing weeds manually is laborious, use of chemicals to destroy them
is hazardous to environment and crops.

● Customer Survey (50 Words)

▪ Weeds are big problem for the farmers.

▪ As they compete with crop for nutrients, sunshine, waters and other inputs like
fertilizers and manure due to which our desired crop is not properly nourished.
▪ For small field manual removing works but on large scale, farmers opt to
spray weedicides these are chemicals which kills the weed and for sure will
have some effect on our crop too.
▪ To overcome these our machine will prove beneficial.
