Dror Galil High School is the first of its kind in Israel,


aiming to provide its students with the social, moral,
technological and practical tools to succeed in tomorrow’s
world. In innovative classes such as Agroecology and Life-
Improving Technology, the students are faced with real
world problems and use state-of-the-art technology such
as 3D printing, CNC mill and laser cutting to design real,
practical and implementable solutions.

world. The school recruits students from the entire spectrum of Galilee society - Jews,

Kibbutz Ravid
Striving to Create a More sustainable Israeli Society
Upholding daily values of coexistence, democracy, and equality

Kibbutz Ravid is one of the flagship kibbutzim of "Dror Israel." Located above
the Sea of Galilee, it serves as a unique educational center. Ravid's campus
houses educators in a young and vibrant community alongside educational
projects. Such projects are a seminar center that can host 30,000 overnights
yearly, a pre-military preparatory program for at-risk youth, educational-
agricultural fields alongside a research and development center, and a
stimulating instructional center that sends educators nationwide, instructs
and writes educational pedagogies for various programs and frameworks,
starting with schools and youth clubs through the police, the IDF, etc.

All programs emphasize a common center for a more sustainable Israeli


society based on Jewish values, coexistence, democracy, and equality.

School took upon itself to cope with these challenges and

Dror Galil High School is the only school that provides in the State of Israel this
prestigious diploma in two special subjects:

The Technology Track in Life-Enhancing Products

Namely, development of life-enhancing technological


solutions that are mobile and available to all. In an era
where technological innovations enable large-scale
life-enhancement and life-saving techniques, a young
generation of social leaders must be trained. Entrepreneurs
at heart, with the knowledge of how to use the advanced
technologies of digital production to identify major social
problems and challenges, and develop products and
technologies to benefit the lives of tens and hundreds
of thousands of people utilizing mobile and smart
devices. The students studying in this track use advanced
technologies of 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, computing
and electronics. T hrough these technologies, they develop
and manufacture cheap, usable and accessible solutions.
This is a new study track developed in cooperation with
the Vocational Training Division.

The Agro-Ecology and Agro-Tech Study Track

In a world with shrinking green areas, land and water resources


at risk, and the need for high-quality food steadily increasing,
it is necessary to find diverse and revolutionary solutions to
successfully combine the needs of human beings with a
sustainable environmental and ecological vision. Agriculture
is connected to all aspects of our existence - food, raw
materials for textiles and clothing, wood for construction,
raw materials for drugs and medicine, renewable energy,
and more. Agro-Ecology and Agro-Tech tracks are leaders in
agro-ecology research and the development of technologies,
in work techniques and economic models that meet the
challenges of Israeli and global agriculture, as well as in
training the next generation of ecological farmers. The track
constitutes a study and research hub in cooperation with the
Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Labor, research and
development bodies, academic institutions and commercial
companies, aspiring to engage the real challenges of the
Galilee and Land of Israel farmers.

Future Training Study Tracks and Courses

As our school grows, we plan to open new study tracks and


additional innovative professional training courses in the
areas of:
• Green and forward-thinking construction
• Renewable energy
• New media
• and more..

We are in the process of developing these courses with


the Israeli Ministry of Labor's Vocational Training Division,
to transform them into future professions recognized by
the economy. The professional certificates we provide are
recognized by OECD countries as diplomas attesting to
professional training.

The architectural plan of Dror Galil's permanent structure was designed with
comprehensive reference to the school's innovative pedagogy. The structure
was designed to advance innovative and flexible modes of learning and
enable significant modularity in modes of teaching.

In the current construction phase, we will build four
classrooms, open space study, a central meeting hall,
a place for assemblies and presentation of project
products, as well as workspaces for the educational
staff and offices.
To create a structure promoting an empowering and
stimulating atmosphere of study, a state-of-the-art and
homelike structure has been designed that enables
flexible study in a variety of spaces. The structure
combines human warmth, advanced technology,
multifaceted thinking, and ecological planning to invite
creativity and activity. The building was designed to
serve as a meeting place for groups, people, dreams,
activity, and learning; a place that can always evolve
and adapt itself to the dreams of our students and
educators.
Above all, this is a public-school building intended for
everyone and anyone who wishes to come and study.
The building is divided into two houses, or "homes."
Each "home" includes two classrooms, study and
meeting areas, an inner courtyard, a kitchenette, and a
service area, with the facilities providing the space to
best fit the needs of students and teachers.
The structure enables innovative learning processes
connecting the head and hands and creating a holistic
learning approach based on real work combining
research and development of real solutions and
products using advanced technologies.
