A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL THEME SONG FOR THE PASAKA

WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Committee on Tourism, Cultural and Historical

Affairs and Street Naming, desires to adopt the official theme song for the Pasaka
Festival that will represent thefestival’s rich history and give anauditory
representation, merriment and cultural meaning to the festival;

WHEREAS, the Pasaka Festival of the Municipality of Tanauan Leyte being an

annual traditionfeaturingtribal dance drama and street-dancing depicting a
community paying homage to the Blessed Virgin, the Assumption of our Lady, the
patroness of Tanauan, Leyte showcasing the townspeople’s history and culture;

WHEREAS, the song “Pasaka” which is meaningful and significant in lyrics and adds
merriment to the festival, composed during the administration of Mayor Roque A. Tiu
to be adopted as the official theme song of the Pasaka Festival of the Municipality of
Tanauan Leyte;
