AIR COMPRESSOR STARTING PROCEDURE

1.Check before start up

(a) Check if oil is filled up above level L of oil level gauge.

(b)Check if valves of drain are fully opened.

(c) Check the cooling water , check inlet and outlet valves are opened.

(d)Check if no person in work by the machine.

(e)Check if discharge valve of air compressor outlet is open.

(d) Check filling valve of Desired Air Reciever Tank is open.

2. Put Compressor in manual near Compressor panel as well in ECR panel.

3.Select Manual control on Lead switch of Compressor near Compressor Panel.

4.Press Green Start Button on Compressor Panel for Compressor which you want to start.

5.Check for Abnormality after Start

(a) Check temperature at cooling water outlet

(b) Check temperature of discharging Air

(c) Check for any abnormal sound or smell

(d) Check on pressure gauges,lube oil pressure cooling water pressure as well Both stages Pressure.

6.If any abnormality Detected immediately stop the Compressor.

7.Put Compressor in AUTO near Compressor panel as well Select the Compressor which you have
started as Lead compressor on switch.

8.Put Compressor in AUTO in ECR panel as well

9.When the pressure in Air Reciever Tank has reached upper limit set pressure , the pressure switch
operates to stop the compressor, when pressure in air receiver tank has dropped to the lower limit set
pressure , the pressure switch operates again and compressor starts.
