Pre requisites :
Interested person should have
studied or taught Basics Deep
Learning. Preference will be given
to Persons interested in pursuing
research in Deep Learning
Architectures. Interested candidates
should register only at room no.
1208 in Computer Science
Department on or before 10th
December 2019.The registered
candidates will be intimated by
11th December 2019 and the
registration fees should be paid by
10th December 2019.

About the Program :
The word "deep" in "deep learning" refers to the number of layers through
which the data is transformed.Deep learning is an artificial intelligence
function that imitates the workings of the human brain in processing data and
creating patterns for use in decision making. Deep learning is a subset of
machine learning in artificial intelligence (AI) that has networks capable of
learning unsupervised from data that is unstructured or unlabeled. Also
known as deep neural learning or deep neural network.One of the most
common AI techniques used for processing big data is machine learning, a
self-adaptive algorithm that gets increasingly better analysis and patterns with
experience or with newly added data.Deep learning utilizes a hierarchical
level of artificial neural networks to carry out the process of machine learning.
The artificial neural networks are built like the human brain, with neuron
nodes connected together like a web. Deep learning architectures can be
constructed with a greedy layer-by-layer method.Deep learning helps to
disentangle these abstractions and pick out which features improve
performance.Deep learning algorithms can be applied to unsupervised
learning tasks.
Expert Speaker :
Mr. Santosh Chapaneri completed MS in ECE from the University of Arizona,
USA and BE in EXTC from University of Mumbai, India. Currently, he is an
Assistant Professor at St. Francis Institute of Technology, Mumbai and
pursuing Ph.D. in Music Information Retrieval with Machine Learning from
the University of Mumbai. His research areas include Machine Learning and
Signal Processing. He has delivered various workshops of Machine Learning
and Deep Learning at various meetups in academia and industry including
Azilen Tech, Ahmedabad. Powai organized by IEEE India Council and IEEE
Bombay Section, He is a frequent speaker for the IEEE Bombay Section
SKEP Lecture Series.

technique for generative modeling.
Long short-term memory (LSTM) is an artificial recurrent neural network
(RNN) architecture used in the field of deep learning.
Gated recurrent units (GRUs) are a gating mechanism in recurrent neural
networks.
Multilayer perceptron(MLP) is a class of feedforward artificial neural
network (ANN).
Convolutional neural network(CNN) is one of the main categories to do
images recognition, images classifications.
