The objective of this OJT training was to provide the students of B.Voc. 3 nd semester of
GPGC Bilaspur, a platform to learn basic skills required for the job role of Department Manager

INTRODUCTION
The introduction of this report is based on the experience gained in previous two OJT’s. This
time our B.VOC batch has been at Chandigarh, the city beautiful for our third OJT. The term on-
the job training can be defined as, “the process of helping the people to learn in an organized or
planned way at the real working place in real time.” It means OJT is a platform that gives
trainees an opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained from lessons in the classroom.

DAY-2
On this day we got training and briefing about the store, besides this we also use our hands on
the selling of the various products on the basis of skills learnt in previous OJT. It was a store
with highly equipped store divided in five sections namely: two for men, two for women and one
for kids. In these sections garments and accessories widely used in all seasons were available.
We were instructed to learn basic and important skills required for communication. The training
was mainly based on Proper piling of the garments, customer handling, Tagging, stocking,

Besides helping our seniors in selling the products this day was mainly focused on work culture
of the organization and working of the store and understanding related customers criteria. We
come to learn the rules and regulations of working in organization. We come to learn how to
satisfy and establish customer needs and helping customers to identify the product of their choice
and to locate them. Confirm with customers that the products and supplies being packed,

On this day we come to know about the setup of the store and ways by which store is

On this day besides regular selling of the products QP Nos based training started. First QP Nos

Likewise previous working day still training was based on the QP Norm To Plan Visual
Merchandising. Today besides regular store working we come to learn about the following

Again training was based on the same QP No To Plan Visual Merchandising. Today Robin Sir
asked us about the previous days training and also helped us in clearing our doubts. The regular
working continued and besides that we come to learn about the following:

It was the last day of training On the QP nos To Plan Visual Merchandising. Besides
recapitulating the previous learning and regular selling today we come to learn about the
