“The Left-handers are few and Unique!

Only 11 percent of the world population are left-handers. According to the medical
community, left-handedness is developed in the embryo when the child’s hand
──whether it’s the left or right ──is predominantly held close to mouth.
“Right” is used as adjective (correct, proper or orthodox), while left-handed gets the
flak of the antonyms of the right-handed.
“Left” was a symbol of power or custody to the Hebrews and other Semitic and
Mesopotamian languages.
In Western countries, “Right” connotes correct and proper.
In Chinese culture, “Left” sometimes means improper or out of accord.
In Korean “Right” means morally proper.
In the Incas of the Andes, left-handed person believed to possess spiritual abilities, as
well as magic and healing.
In the book “Right-hand, Left-hand”, Chris McManus says the proportion of left-
handers is on the rise.
