I. Objectives
1. Illustrate a random variable (discrete and continuous)
2. Distinguish between a discrete and a continuous random variable
6. Motivation:
Why do we need to study statistics and probability?
B. Lesson Proper:
1. Activities
Teacher introduces the subject “statistics and probability” and give a short overview of the subject
content.
Teachers defines random variable, discrete and continuous variable and let the students
differentiate the two variables.
2. Analysis
What is statistics?
What is random variable? What are two types of variable?
How are they differ from each other?
3. Abstraction
Discussion of the following concepts;
- Random Variables
- Discrete and continuous variable
4. Application
Illustrate random variables
Distinguish between discrete and a continuous random variable
IV. Evaluation
Illustrate random variable
Distinguish between discrete and a continuous random variable
V. Assignment/ Agreement
