-Have the students give their own definition of statistics or words that come to their mind when they
hear the word statistics.
5. Review
What are your previous learning about statistics and probability?

6. Motivation:
Why do we need to study statistics and probability?

1. Activities
Teacher introduces the subject “statistics and probability” and give a short overview of the subject
content.
Teachers defines random variable, discrete and continuous variable and let the students
differentiate the two variables.
2. Analysis
 What is statistics?
 What is random variable? What are two types of variable?
 How are they differ from each other?
3. Abstraction
