CLIMATE AMBASSADORS
The Climate Ambassadors programs works to support and engage people at the local level for
climate action and share the all activities of CLIMATE ACTION GROUP main page in social
media.

INTRODUCTION
Across the Nation, climate change has become a major subject of concern. A significant change
in the Earth’s climate has caused the average temperature on the Earth’s surface to increase.
This has become one of the most important issues of the twenty first century; and as young
people, we play a major part in the fight against climate change. We are the future leaders of
the world and the most threatened by climate change. Now is our time to take action and
become leaders in this crisis by becoming Climate Ambassadors. You can become leaders and
stand up to polluters by spreading awareness about climate change and how to reduce energy
use and waste. Becoming a Climate Ambassador allows middle school and high school students
to take charge on this important issue and inspire others to address climate change and
children’s health.

Since we are all contributors to climate change, we can all work together in creating a new
climate for action! We think it is important for all us to come together and work towards
creating a healthier environment. Because as you know, we are the future leaders and the future
of our world lies in our hands. As young people, we will be the most affected; we need to step
up and take a stand in creating a better world. Become a Climate Ambassador and motivate
others to do their part for climate change and children’s health.

WHAT IS A CLIMATE AMBASSADOR?

Individuals throughout the Nation can sign up to become a Climate Ambassador. Ambassadors
will work as volunteers in their communities to educate the public on climate change,
encourage climate friendly actions, and serve as a bridge between the public and Care about
Climate.

MAIN OBJECTIVES
 To build a cohort of facilitators to inspire, mobilize and unleash youth leadership for
community resilience to a changing climate. The project certifies youth Ambassadors
to train other young people to become multipliers of established sustainability
programmes.
  To teach about sustainability through a leadership lens which helps identify individual
and collective actions that help build more resilient, thriving communities.
Ambassadors replicate these programmes in their communities, in collaboration with
CLIMATE ACTION GROUP, providing sustainability role models for other youth.

 To have not just the knowledge but also the skills, attitudes and values to act as powerful
and effective transformative change agents.

 To actively take part in CLIMATE ACTION GROUP climate initiatives.

So far, 2,900 children, youth and young adults in South Asia, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa,
Europe, South, Central and North America have been reached this way.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the important 3 role & responsibilities:
1) Motivating students to give presentations on climate change and children’s health to their
schools, youth organization or other students. This will help spread information on climate
change and motivate others to become active. CLIMATE ACTION GROUP can create a
presentation that students can use to increase climate change and children’s health awareness.
2) Getting people in your community, your school or school district involved in ENERGY
STAR pledges and challenges. The pledges and challenges encourage conservation throughout
homes and schools.
3) Recruit a leader from your community, school, or other organization to issue a climate
change and children’s health proclamation. This proclamation will encourage youth to take
action in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving energy, and creating a new climate
for action.

DISCLAIMER / NOTE
1) CLIMATE ACTION GROUP Climate Ambassadors must be active at least 2 hours a week
engaging in various local activities.
2) All activities must be uploaded in social media with #ClimateActionGroup
#ClimateChange #UNDP #SDGs #ClimateChangeCampaign #ClimateChangeEducation
3) Those Ambassadors who failed to turn up during the stipulated time in any action plans or
projects will be removed immediately without any prior information.
4) The decision of CLIMATE ACTION GROUP is the final in any case.

DECLARATION
1) I agree the above terms and conditions.
2) I will follow all rules of CLIMATE ACTION GROUP.
3) I will maintain my disciplines throughout my tenure as a CLIMATE ACTION GROUP
Ambassador.
4) My appointment will be for 2 years from today till the end of 2021 (Extendable time to time)
as an honorary position.
5) I will accept all actions taken up against me for any violation of CLIMATE ACTION
GROUP Constitution & misusing of CLIMATE ACTION GROUP name.
