A Gleeful Christmas


Song 1 All I want for Christmas is you
 Texture
o The performance produces Polyponic because there are many sounds or voiced
simultaneously. The women combined the many sounds of high and lows.
o The arrangement of the voices were organized because all the musicians
contributed
 Rhythm
o The percussion on the beat were getting faster, and there were a variety of
rhythms that was well-organized with the flow of the melody
 Dynamics:
o The size of the room is very big and there are only a few instruments played in the
background, so the music was not loud. Also because there are only three
microphones set at the front of the stage and they stood a couple feet away from
the microphone. Also the music started out quietly but as the song songs on they
became medium loud.

 Tempo:
o The beat of the tempo was moderate-fast. The flow was similar to the original
song
 Timber/tone:
o the color red resembles excitement, warmth, and love and being able to listen to
this song gave me a the energy that Christmas is coming soon and the feeling
when you are with families and loved ones.

Song 2 Jingle Bells
 Texture
o The performance produces Polyponic because there are many sounds or voiced
simultaneously. The men and women combined the many sounds of high and
lows.
 Rhythm
o The beat was moderate, and the voices were clear and defined.
 Dynamics
o The size of the room is very big and there are only a few instruments played in the
background, so the music was not loud. Also because there are only three
microphones set at the front of the stage and they stood a couple feet away from
the microphone. Also the music started out quietly but as the song songs on they
became medium loud.
 Tempo:
o The beat of the song was fast and lively. The upbeat of the music made me want
to sing out loud with the performance.
 Timber/tone
o Again, the song that reminded me was the Christmas colors of green and red
because of the feeling that Christmas is coming and

Song 3-Kasadya ning taknaa


 Texture
o The performance produces Polyponic because there are many sounds or voiced
simultaneously. The women combined the many sounds of altos and sopranos and
the men bass and tenor were heard.
 Rhythm
o The beat of the music were unique because there were times that the song were
slow and times when the beat were fast. The dancing and steps also matches with
the beat of the song. The performance really had different ways to perform the
song.
 Dynamics
o Everyone in the group was able to contribute and it created a louder sound. They
were very clear and you can clearly hear the transitions.
 Tempo
o The song transitioned between slow and fast and they had different styles of the
song.
 Timber/tone:
o The color I had in mind was purple because it was a very nostalgic song for me.
During the slow beat of the song, it reminded me of the times I sang it with family
and the fast beat was the time when we went caroling with friends.

Song 4- Holly Jolly Christmas


 Texture
o The performance produces Polyponic because there are many sounds or voiced
simultaneously. The women combined the many sounds of altos and sopranos
heard, and there equal level of importance with the voices
 Rhythm
o The beat of the music was moderate, and the voices were organized and clear.
 Dynamics
o The song had parts that were softer and then had parts were it went louder. You
can hear the voices enough well without the microphone but the room was big and
I was sitting in the back of the room.
 Tempo
o Again,the beat of the song was fast and lively. The upbeat of the music made me
want to sing out loud and dance with the performance.
 Timber/tone
o The quality of the sound were balanced and the voices were recognizable with
each sections.
