OBJECTIVES FOR SURGERY ROTATION

PYPONCO -A2

Central Objectives:
At the end of our Surgery rotation class, I will be able to acquire the knowledge,
strengthen skills, manifest positive attitude, manifest values necessary in giving
safe nursing care to clients with different conditions.

Specific Objectives:
At the end of our Surgery Rotation, I will be able to :
1. Apply knowledge of physical, social, and the science needed to care for
patients in the ward by:
a. Reading by using the resources available (books/ internet) about the
different condition daily
b. Watch available videos online
c. Use time wisely to study about the different condition and write any
questions
2. Communicate effectively in speaking, writing, and presenting in class
a. Use time wisely to practice before presenting
b. Participate in class discussion
c. Ask questions to clarify any misunderstanding
3. Work effectively in collaboration with my classmates and teachers
a. Engage in study group
b. Ask questions to classmates and teachers and for me to be able to help
as much as I can.
4. Manifest a positive attitude about the different topics and towards classmates
a. Show up to class and have a positive mindset about learning
b. Be prepared for any questions
c. Come to class prepared to pass assignments or to present a report.
5. Demonstrate a responsible nursing student
a. Come to class on time
b. Check for announcements before class starts
c. Pass assignments and reports and other requirements on time
d. Wear appropriate clothing during class
e. Respect classmates and teachers during class
