LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to:
(i) Main skill : describe 4 of their friends nationality using the phrase
“ You’re…” correctly. ( Top target)
(ii) Main skill : describe 2 of their friends nationality using the
phrase “ You’re…” with guidance. ( Supported Target)
(ii)i Complimentary Skill :ask 4 of their friends nationality using the
question clue” Where’re you from?” correctly ( Top target)
(iv) Complimentary Skill :ask 2 of their friends nationality using the
question clue” Where’re you from?” with guidance. ( Supported
Target)

ELEMENTS
ACTIVITIES ; I. PRE- : 1. Sing a song “ If you’re happy and you know that you’re….”. Pupils
LESSON sing the song with the teacher and identify the nationality from the
song.

II. LESSON : 1. Pupils learn sentence patterns by watching a video pertaining to


DEVELOPMENT Nationality of the World.
2. Teacher guides the pupils to speak using the sentence
pattern they have learnt in the video by Q&A
*3. In pairs, pupils pick the flag of their choice from a box and take
turns to practice Q&A using the sentence patterns learned with
their partners. ( main )

S2 I’m from ………….
S1 You’re …………..
* 4. Pupils interview 4 of their friends nationality and complete the
table.( complimentary ) Weaker pupils will be given more time
* formative assessment
III. POST- LESSON : 1. Pupils sing the song again.
2. Pupils will complete an exit card by writing what they had learnt
and how they feel about the lesson.
