Course Title: Managing Employee Relations


Course Code: 12MEHR29 Credits: 3
Area: OB/HRM Nature: Elective
This course is an introduction to Employee Relations. It addresses tangible and intangible
aspects of relationships between employer, employee and workers. It will help the students in
appreciating the development and Management of employee relations in India and their
application in the Industry.

Learning Outcome:
. At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Understand complex relationship among internal and external environmental factors
governing industrial relations in an organization.
2. Comprehend role of trade union in organizations.
3. Understanding probable cause and effect relationship between various organizational
factors in emergence of grievance and disputes as well as the resolution mechanism
not just at worker level but across the organization.
