What Are The Seven Sacraments
The seven sacraments are Baptism, First Communion, Penance, Confirmation,
Marriage, Anointing of The Sick and Holy Orders are the seven sacraments. The
seven sacraments are broken up in three groups the first is call the sacraments of
initiation and they are, Baptism, Confirmation and Reconciliation, the second
group is called the sacraments of healing which has the sacraments of Penance
and Anointing of The Sick. The last group is called the sacraments of service
which has Holy Orders and Marriage.
Signs and Symbols
The five symbols of Baptism is the cross, a white garment, oil, water, and light.
The symbols of the First Communion are bread and wine the bread and wine
because it’s represents what Jesus did at the last supper before he was about be
betady by Judias. The symbols of Penance are keys, purple stole raised hands
signs of the cross and a scourging whip. The symbols of Confirmation are fire and
a dove, the symbols of Marriage are rings, bridal veil, the unity candle and the holy
bible. The symbols of Anointing of The Sick is a cross, the symbols of Holy Orders
are the stole, oil laying of the hands, the chalice and paten
The Meaning Of The Sacraments
The meaning of Baptism is to welcome the newborn into the church and to free us from the original sin
from when we were born. The meaning of first communion is that you have your first encounter of when
God and you connect, but that will only happen if you truly believe that Jesus is in the eurersite. The
meaning of Penance is that your soul is renowned of sins and is peur again, only when you go to tell a
priest or some one in the church hierarchy of the sins that you committed.The meaning of Confirmation
means that you receive the seven gifts of holy spirit, the meaning of Marriage is that two people usually a
man, or a woman that establish a partnership of their whole life which is order by the good nature. The
meaning of Anointing of The Sick is that someone that gets to the age of them thinking that there in
danger that was caused by sickness or if someone committed a grave sin. The meaning of Holy Orders is
that the a man who takes that sacrament is a part of the church hierarchy which has the decans, priest,
bishop, cardenales and lastly the pope
The Rituals For The Sacraments
The rituals at baptism is when the priest puts oil on your head, and after that he pours water on your head
three times. The rituals at first communions is someone receiving the body and blood of Jesus from the
eucharist being the body and the blood being the wine of Jesus. The rituals at Penance are telling the
priest of all the sins that you have committed up to that point, and after that the priest will tell you on what
you should do so God can forgive you. The ritual at confirmation is the priest putting oil on your head and
your sponsor would put their hand on your shoulder and you would respond to what the priest would ask
you. The rituals marriage is the blessing of the rings and the promises that they do to God which means
they they are together until they both die .The rituals of holy orders are that it’s a way for someone in the
church hierarchy to move up the ranks to become someone with more power in the church. The rituals of
anointing of the sick is when a priest or deacon put their hand on a sick person and then with their hands
and with the pile of the sick and then they are anointed
How Are The Sacraments Important
Baptism is important because it welcome the newborn into the church and to free us from the original sin
from when we were born. The reason why first communions is important it’s the first time you receive the
body and blood of Jesus and from that we share eternal life with Jesus. Penance is important, because it
allows the priest to help us to have a holy life and a better change to go to heaven. Confirmation is
important because you become an adult of the church and you also receive the seven gifts of the holy
sprites. Marriage is important in the church because we believe that it’s God doing of letting the two
people get married. Anointing of the sick is important because it allows someone to have the seright,
courage and peace to fight the sickness that they have. Holy orders are important because without it we
would have no priest, deacons, and bishops which means that there will be no one to tell the word of God
Why Do We Need The Seven Sacraments
The reason why we need the seven sacraments is that isn't a way for Jesus to be
still on Earth also the church is reasonable of the seven sacraments so that they
can put them into our faith.
